What's new in 1.4.1
- Fixes upscaling on RTX 30 (Ampere): the 1.4 build told every NGX component it was running on an RTX 50, and DLSS Super Resolution took the GPU down on Ampere (#6). Only the Neural Rendering model is told that now.
- A failed frame in video mode no longer leaves the process hanging and the UI stuck.
What's new in 1.4
- Drivers 616.64 and newer: Neural Rendering runs again (the previous builds could crash at start-up on them). Verified on 616.56 and 616.92.
- RTX 20 / 30 / 40: the model is told it is running on an RTX 50 card, so Neural Rendering works on every RTX generation (
--nr-arch-spoof 0to disable; no effect on RTX 50). - HDR video (HDR10 / PQ and HLG) is handled properly (#4): clips are recognised from their colour tags, the model works on an SDR proxy and its edit is applied back to the HDR frame, so brightness, highlights and colours stay as they were and only the detail changes. The output keeps the source's transfer and primaries and is always 10-bit.
--nr-transferoverrides the detection for a mistagged clip,--nr-sdr-whitesets the proxy exposure. - The "HDR (linear)" option is gone: on an HDR clip it overexposed the picture, and nothing else needed it. The Video tab has an HDR block instead (source override + SDR white), and the browser preview of an HDR result is tone-mapped so it no longer looks washed out.
- ComfyUI: the Video node reads the transfer tag of a connected Load Video clip (
hdr_sourceauto / sdr / pq / hlg) and returns a VIDEO tagged 10-bit HDR PQ / HLG, so Load Video → DLSS Neural Rendering (Video) → Save Video keeps the clip HDR on a ComfyUI with HDR video support. --probe-nrreports the driver, the runtime in use and where the feature stops; the routes through the driver core are opt-in (--probe-core).
Requires an NVIDIA RTX GPU on driver 616.56+. See the README for setup and the three guides (UI, ComfyUI, command line).

v1.3
DLSS Super Resolution + Neural Rendering for images and video. Pure C++17, Direct3D 12.

What's new in 1.3
- Video encoding: constant-quality output by default (CQ 19, 10-bit HEVC, full colour tagging) instead of a fixed low bitrate; quality presets and an explicit CQ / bitrate override.
- Formats: HEVC / H.264 / AV1 on NVENC, AV1 (SVT), ProRes and lossless FFV1; mp4 / mkv / mov / webm; audio copied when the container allows.
- Output size: 720p … 8K presets fitted to the source aspect, scale factors, or a custom width × height / scale.
- DLSS SR preset selector (Default, E, F, J, K, L, M) for the upscale model — in the UI, the CLI (
--nr-sr-preset) and the ComfyUI nodes (sr_preset); the ComfyUI nodes also gainedheight. - Images: EXIF orientation is honoured, so phone photos come out upright.
- UI: the result file is offered for download next to a browser preview.
Requires an NVIDIA RTX GPU on driver 616.56+. See the README for setup and the three guides (UI, ComfyUI, command line).
