Bug Fixes

  • release-notes: Stop running git add -A before the release commit, which could pull unrelated edits and untracked files (build output, archives, local settings) into it. The skill now stages CHANGELOG.md and the version files it updated and commits them with a pathspec, so changes already staged for other paths stay out of the commit and remain staged. Annotated tags pass --cleanup=verbatim; the default cleanup mode treated the CHANGELOG ### section headings as comments and dropped them from the tag message. (201eab0)

Documentation

  • Add the v7.0.1 entry to the READMEs' recent changes. (f743126)

Validation and Scope

  • The full Node suite passes (208; no failures or skips), including version synchronization.
  • In a scratch repository, the new commit step committed only the version file and a new CHANGELOG.md while a file staged beforehand stayed staged and an untracked archive stayed untracked; --cleanup=verbatim kept ### Features in the tag message, which the default mode removed.
  • Windows full installation passes all 12 Claude, Codex, Antigravity and Grok runtime checks, and the installed release-notes copies (including the source-only copies) carry the new commands with no git add -A.
  • Unrelated skill zip files in the working tree are excluded from this release.
