Buster Busts Loose! is now on Android: the same port as the PC version, with true widescreen that fills your phone's screen and on-screen touch controls.

You need your own ROM. This release contains no game code or data. It needs a good dump of the USA version:
Tiny Toon Adventures - Buster Busts Loose! (USA).sfc (CRC32 AB48D27A). European, Japanese, hacked or bad dumps are rejected with a message saying why.

How to install

  1. Download BusterBustsLoose-Android-V1.0.apk below on your phone and open it. The first time, Android asks you to allow installing apps from your browser or file manager.
  2. Copy your ROM to the phone, for example into Downloads.
  3. Start Buster Busts Loose! and tap Choose ROM. It's copied into the app, so you only do this once.

Requires a 64-bit phone or tablet with Android 5.0 or later.

On Android

  • Widescreen: the picture fills the whole screen during gameplay, with more of each level drawn to the sides and the HUD moved to the edges.
  • Touch controls: D-pad, Y/B/A/X, L/R, Start and Menu, with adjustable opacity under Controls.
  • Controllers: Bluetooth and USB controllers work too, and hide the touch controls.
  • Menu: tap MENU or use the Back gesture. Tap rows to choose them, drag to scroll, and tap the left or right half of a setting to change it.
  • Same extras as on PC: save states, the level select (every area, plus the bonus games and the ending), cheats, the music player, upscaling filters, CRT scanlines and colour profiles.

A Windows port of Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose! (SNES) with true widescreen and a set of modern extras.

You need your own ROM. This release contains no game code or data. It needs a good dump of the USA version:

How to play

  1. Download BusterBustsLoose-V1.0-win64.zip below and extract it anywhere.
  2. Copy your ROM into the extracted folder, next to BusterBustsLoose.exe.
  3. Run BusterBustsLoose.exe (Windows 10/11, 64-bit; nothing to install).

Press Esc (or Select on a gamepad) to open the menu. readme.txt in the zip covers controls and every option.

  • Save states (9 slots), fast forward and screenshots
  • Level select for all 28 areas plus the bonus games and the ending, on Children, Normal or Challenge difficulty
  • Cheats: infinite health, lives and dash, invincibility, moon jump, 99 lives, five hearts and more
  • Music player for the whole soundtrack, plus a sound test
