A Windows port of three Sega Mega Drive / Genesis classics — Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse, QuackShot Starring Donald Duck and World of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck — with a launcher, true widescreen up to 21:9 and a set of modern extras.

You need your own ROMs. This release contains no game code or data. It needs good dumps of the USA versions:

  • Mickey Mouse - Castle of Illusion (U) [!].bin (CRC32 BA4E9FD0)
  • Quack Shot Starring Donald Duck (JUE) (REV 00) [!].bin (CRC32 88C8DD94)
  • World of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck (U) [!].bin (CRC32 921EBD1C)

Other regions, revisions, hacks or bad dumps aren't supported; the launcher names what it found instead of starting it.

How to play

  1. Download Mickey-and-Donald-Collection-v1.0-win64.zip below and extract it anywhere.
  2. Copy your ROMs into the extracted folder, next to DisneyClassics.exe (or into a roms folder there). Zipped ROMs work too.
  3. Run DisneyClassics.exe (Windows 10/11, 64-bit; nothing to install).

Press Esc (or Back / View on a gamepad) for the pause menu. readme.txt in the zip covers controls and every option.

Features

  • Launcher with live attract-mode previews of all three games
  • Widescreen 16:10, 16:9, 2:1 and 21:9 ultrawide (World of Illusion up to 2:1), with more of each level really drawn at the sides, enemies spawning across the whole width and the HUD moved to the screen edges
  • Video: borderless fullscreen or windowed, integer scaling, square or CRT pixels, sharp bilinear / scanline / CRT filters, colour profiles
  • Two players in World of Illusion (two pads, or a pad and the keyboard, or one shared keyboard)
  • Controls: keyboard and gamepads (XInput and DirectInput), fully rebindable
  • Save states (5 slots per game), fast forward, rewind (up to the last minute) and screenshots
  • Level select, cheats (including each game's hidden developer features) and a music player / sound test for every game
