Fixes GHSA-hp7w-v83m-qgx8 in the optional permanent-access Windows service.

If you enabled permanent access with an earlier version: extract this ZIP into a new folder, open START.bat, then choose Settings → Update installed host and approve the Windows prompt. The update applies the new folder permissions and service.

New look

A new light and dark design that follows your Windows setting, a clearer dashboard, and a small "... is connected" pill with a Disconnect button on the PC being controlled.

Fixes

• Remote guests can no longer answer local permission prompts (voice, system audio, clipboard) with their own input. Incoming chat no longer takes keyboard focus.
• Saved-computer reconnection is no longer stopped by malformed signaling messages.
• Image regions draw correctly between PCs with different display scaling; H.264 works at widths such as 1366.
• Paired resumable transfers survive stalls; finished recordings are never deleted on a name collision.
• Display scaling at 125–200 %.
• Guest logins must complete within 15 seconds; repeated wrong invitations only lock out the offending address.
• H.264 decoder failures on the viewing PC fall back to lossless images instead of ending the session; screen capture recovers after UAC, lock or resolution changes.
• Large file transfers are no longer reported as failed while the receiving PC finishes writing.
• Confirmations for Forget and Remove Windows service, and clearer consent wording.

Known limits

Two-PC Internet acceptance, display scaling above 100 % and physical audio devices have not been verified for this preview. It does not claim a security audit, signed binaries or measured performance against other products.

This unsigned prerelease is for contributors and careful testing. It fixes an intermittent failure between consecutive file transfers, repairs the public Windows/Linux build prerequisites, and includes an offline interface demo, local benchmark tools and launch documentation.

Download the win64 ZIP, verify its adjacent SHA-256 file, extract the whole archive on both PCs and open START.bat. An already installed host needs UPDATE-HOST.bat with normal Windows approval; no installed host was upgraded while preparing this release. Pairings are preserved by the documented update flow. Open LumeRemote/docs/demo.html for the offline walkthrough.

Local verification: 94 safe Windows checks, 9 focused file/clipboard checks, 14 benchmark report tests and a real helper/missing-process collector smoke test passed. Both archives have per-file manifests verified locally. Linux CI passed at cafe638. Full hosted Windows/Rust/Android CI for this final commit is still pending; the previous run's redirected Cargo progress-message failure was corrected by using PowerShell 7 for those stages.

This is not a physical WAN demo or a measured comparison with TeamViewer, AnyDesk or RustDesk. Current-build physical two-PC sessions, installed-host lifecycle, long idle/recovery, real audio/printers/SMB and Android devices still need acceptance. macOS and iOS remain uncompiled and untested because no Apple device is available. No signed publisher build, managed TURN fleet, automatic updater or security certification is claimed.
