Main Topbar MultiUPS Guide
This guide explains how to read the main dashboard and how to use the TopBar correctly in single and multi-target contexts.
Most beginner mistakes come from one issue:
- reading or changing data while the wrong target is active
TopBar is the context anchor for the entire UI. If you learn TopBar behavior, the rest of Nutify becomes predictable.
After successful login, Nutify opens the main dashboard.

Main areas:
- left sidebar: page navigation
- topbar: active target context and quick controls
- dashboard body: cards, events, and summaries for active target
TopBar includes:
- active target selector button
- UPS serial block
- runtime status label (
Online,On Battery,Unknown, etc.) - battery percentage
- load percentage
- power value
- local clock display
- CPU and RAM indicators
- action icons (theme, multi-ups, settings, logout)
Interpretation rule:
- these values belong to the current active target unless explicitly marked as global
Click the target label to open available targets.

Example inventory:
Gideon (ups@127.0.0.1)Atom (ups@10.10.10.128)
After switching:
- topbar metrics update
- main dashboard cards refresh
- target-scoped settings now point to the new target

Single profile:
- selector usually contains one target
- topbar still acts as context anchor
Multi profile:
- selector becomes a daily operational tool
- every target-scoped read/write must follow current topbar selection
TopBar action Multi-UPS Monitoring opens fleet view.

What fleet view is for:
- compare many targets at once
- identify degraded/offline targets quickly
- triage incidents before deep per-target investigation
What fleet view is not for:
- detailed per-target configuration editing
TopBar Settings opens target-scoped settings.

Important:
- this is not the global system area
- it follows active target context
These tabs are target-scoped and follow active target.

Use for:
- attaching global providers to this target's events

Use for:
- target-specific report delivery behavior

Use for:
- target-specific timezone, currency, nominal power, and formulas
Before any save operation:
- check active target in topbar
- check page title/tab context
- apply change
- verify resulting data on same target
This prevents cross-target configuration mistakes.
- open dashboard and verify topbar target
- scan status, battery, load, and power
- switch to each critical target and repeat
- open fleet page for cross-target comparison
- open Notify/Reporter/PowerFlow only after confirming target context
- forgetting to switch target before editing settings
- assuming Notify/Reporter/PowerFlow are global
- comparing values across targets without changing active context first
- reading fleet data as if it were single-target detail
Target context is healthy when:
- target label changes immediately after selection
- topbar values refresh for selected target
- dashboard cards and charts change accordingly
- Notify/Reporter/PowerFlow show target-specific data
- Multi-UPS page still shows aggregate fleet view
