Troubleshooting steps
The usual troubleshooting steps are pretty much the same for all WoW addons .
Sometime addons can update several times per day, especially on patch days. That means that the issue you are having can already be fixed. In case of plugins you should also check the version of a core addon.
In case you are running alpha version (dev build) the good idea is to check out if new commits were added since you last downloaded the addon.
Yes, that means disabling ALL other addons even if those were working just fine with the plugin no longer than yesterday. Conflicts can appear out of the thing air. Knowing if this is a conflict or not helps to shave off some considerable time from the amount needed to fix the issue.
In case of plugins it also helps to check if the core ElvUI is working fine itself. Some errors might actually originate from there and not from the plugin.
Those pretty much tell us exactly where everything went downhill. You can either get those by having a special addon installed like BugGrabber or running a script "/run SetCVar('scriptErrors', 1)" in chat since Blizzard decided to remove the option to show/hide those from the settings menu.
Please not that you always need the first error, either the one with ID 1 or on the first page depending on what method you use to get those. All further errors are most likely the result of the first one and are irrelevant.
