SSWorld 0.24.0 adds opt-in WebGPU software ray tracing and global illumination (GI), with an English Lumen Gallery showcase.

  • Compare GI on/off with fixed lights, materials and camera; explore the sculpture and furnished lounge.
  • Change the engine clock between 16:00 and 22:00 for sun-driven day/night lighting.
  • Follow the updated skill, catalog notes and GI usage guide for startup preparation, readiness, toggles and troubleshooting.
  • Page refreshes restart GI preparation. Cold pipeline compilation can take tens of seconds; optional same-page resource retention does not remove this cost.
  • Update texture-memory, model, instancing and Tileset budget handling, preview support and Windows test compatibility.

Lumen Gallery is the demo name; this is not an Unreal Engine Lumen integration, hardware RT or frame generation. Ordinary starter scenes keep GI disabled by default.

Install

Plugin: install from the DataArche/SSWorld marketplace, or download the attached versioned plugin ZIP.

MCP package: npm install -g ssworld-mcp@0.24.0. npm availability is verified separately.

Engine: engine-1a3a65c56b7c6f8a, downloaded automatically on first preview.

Validation

170 tests passed from the release candidate. The pinned engine and matching runtime visibly rendered Lumen Gallery with GI ready and no browser errors. Engine asset sizes and SHA-256 values match engine.lock.json.
