Enhancement Notes

  • Added self-telemetry for OTLP metrics ingest: error counters for decode, channel, dispatch, flush, and translation failures; dropped-point counters for unsupported aggregation temporalities, histogram conversion failures, and invalid values; and a processing-latency histogram for OTLP metrics batches.
  • Added support for otlp_config.receiver.protocols.grpc.max_concurrent_streams and otlp_config.receiver.protocols.http.max_request_body_size. The gRPC setting controls the HTTP/2 maximum concurrent streams per connection (0 = unlimited, matching the OpenTelemetry Collector default). The HTTP setting controls the maximum request body size in bytes (0 = 20 MiB default, matching the Core Agent).

Bug Fixes

  • Updated mio to 1.2.3, which fixes an issue with listening for new connections on Unix Domain Socket-based API endpoints on AIX, as well as spurious crashes due to a race condition when using named pipes on Windows.
