DataFog Core 0.4.2
Core 0.4.2 adds explicit email source context across Rust, Python, Node.js, and browser WASM. Select format: "env" for environment assignments or format: "sql" for standard SQL quoted strings; ordinary text scanning retains its existing email coverage.
SUPPORT_EMAIL=support@example.comredacts toSUPPORT_EMAIL=[EMAIL]in env mode.'li.wei@example.com'redacts to'[EMAIL]'in SQL mode.- Apostrophes and equals signs remain supported local-part characters. Findings use original source offsets, including raw SQL doubled-apostrophe escapes.
- Other detectors, capability contract 1, and offset semantics remain unchanged.
See the source-context guide for supported grammar and limits. SQL backslash escaping, dollar quoting, and encoded email characters are not interpreted. MCP requires format selection as well as a dependency update; its adoption is in PR #32.
Implementation: #43. Release preparation: #44.
Validation: Rust quality and workspace tests; installed wheel and rebuilt-sdist fixtures/typing; native Node 24 and browser Chromium conformance; 352 downstream Python adapter tests and 60 overlap transformations; Mintlify content/link validation. Thirty-six shared email fixtures check exact spans and redact/mask/remove outputs across all runtimes.
All four runtimes were published from 1299fd6e53f177a6cb5ec29b231bb24dc3d191dc and passed clean registry-only verification. Both npm packages and all five native platform packages resolve at 0.4.2. PyPI contains five platform wheels and the source distribution.
Publishing runs: Rust, Python, Node, WASM.
Registry verification: 26 Rust integration tests; Python fixture/typing and actual adapter audit; 11 Node and 11 browser conformance suites. The attached manifest records registry artifact checksums and provenance.
