UsageBeacon 1.3.3

  • Claude usage refreshes wait for readable data and reuse the connected session to discover the usage endpoint, reducing intermittent loading errors.
  • Provider edits are saved when quitting, including changes made immediately before closing the app.
  • Canceled refreshes stop cleanly without publishing late results or retrying canceled requests.
  • Claude and Cursor personal connections now pass server retry delays to the refresh scheduler. Cursor avoids opening its dashboard as a fallback when rate limited.
  • Provider settings have aligned status badges, shorter labels, and a wider adaptive usage layout.
  • Widgets keep their title on one line and show failed sources instead of hiding errors behind cached totals.
  • Turning launch at login off no longer attempts to unregister an unavailable service.

  • Click anywhere on a provider's header row to expand or collapse its settings. Sync and connection actions are inside the expanded panel.
  • The first provider to successfully sync is selected for the menu bar meter automatically. Existing selections and subsequent manual opt-outs are preserved.
  • Switches keep a blue on-state when the window is inactive, with a checkmark and thumb position to distinguish on from off. Disabled states, keyboard access, VoiceOver, and reduced-motion settings are retained.

UsageBeacon 1.3.0

UsageBeacon 1.3.0 brings a cleaner interface and more reliable budget tracking.

  • A scrollable menu with readable amounts, persistent controls, and simpler provider rows.
  • Organized Settings pages with native controls and widget-inspired gradients in light and dark mode.
  • More reliable widget refreshes through an atomic shared snapshot.
  • Workday budgets recalculate when schedules or calendars change, without waiting for a provider request.
  • Choose whether a calendar excludes busy all-day events, all-day time off, or Israel full holidays only. Minor fasts and holiday eves remain workdays under the full-holiday rule; overlapping weekends and leave are not deducted twice.
  • Providers refresh independently, and failed refreshes retain the last successful timestamp.

Existing calendar selections retain their previous rule. Review Settings → Workdays & Calendars to choose the appropriate policy for each calendar.
