Estimation

We use Planning Poker. The estimate shows how complex a ticket is compared to others. It is not a number of days. Everyone participates to the estimation, in every beginning of the sprint/scrum

Scale

We use the Fibonacci number but we stop at 8.
1, 2, 3, 5, 8. A ticket above 8 is too big, so we split it.

How a session works

1. Someone reads the ticket and its rules.
2. We ask questions to the PO.
3. Everyone thinks a Fibonacci number in secret.
4. We reveal the Fibonacci number together.
5. The highest and lowest explain their choice.
6. We repeat until we agree.
7. We write the estimate on the ticket in GitHub.

Re-estimating

We estimate again if the scope changes or if the PO's answers change the work.
