Quality of Life Series 1.0.5
Browse and install community mods, and a check for what Windows needs.
New
Browse mods — community mods with their preview art, filtered by game, installed in one click where the package is something this app can place itself. The list ships inside the exe so the page works offline, and refreshes from catalog.json in this repository, so mods can be added without a new release.
Listed today: Quality of Life (Black Ops II), Octagonal Ascension BO2 REMAKE, and Zombies Declassified BETA 2. Declassified installs outside the mods folder, so it links to its own page rather than pretending it can be handled here.
Requirements — what Plutonium, the games and ReShade need from Windows: the Visual C++ 2015-2022 runtimes and the DirectX 9 end-user runtime. It reports what is missing and where to get it, and installs nothing on your behalf. Home mentions it only when something is genuinely absent, and setup says so once after installing, rather than letting a game fail to start with no explanation. The app itself needs none of it - it carries its own runtime.
Fixed
- Installing a mod from a file could produce a folder with no mod in it. Packages come in three shapes, and only two were handled - a package holding a whole
Plutonium\storage\...tree installed as a folder named after the zip, with nothing where the game looks. The archive is unpacked somewhere neutral now and the mod folders are found wherever they sit. - Preview art is cropped to fill rather than squashed, so a 16:9 banner is not distorted.
Which download
QualityOfLifeSeriesSetup.exe — installs it with a Start menu entry, a desktop shortcut and an entry in Apps & features. Both shortcuts optional; the uninstaller removes everything it added.
QualityOfLifeSeries-portable.zip — unzip and run. Installs nothing.
Same executable either way. Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit; no .NET install needed.
