Mocha Steam 1.2.3

Choose a tag to compare

@DavidHiFi DavidHiFi released this 08 Oct 09:12

Download millennium-stuff-v1.2.3.zip, extract it, exit Steam, then run in the extracted folder:

powershell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\install.ps1 -Apply -Configure

Changes:

  • Popup-window menu cards (the library game right-click menu, the top-bar menus, the supernav menus, the account and notifications menus) now paint the static Mocha base color instead of 72% translucency whose frost never arrived on the reused menu popups; sharp rows no longer show through the card.
  • The downloads dock row hover fill carries the theme radius, so it clips to the rounded chip instead of painting a square strip behind the progress text.

Everything from 1.2.2 is included. Theme only: https://github.com/DavidHiFi/MochaSteam

Mocha Steam 1.2.2

@DavidHiFi DavidHiFi released this 05 Oct 06:35

Download millennium-stuff-v1.2.2.zip, extract it, exit Steam, then run in the extracted folder:

powershell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\install.ps1 -Apply -Configure

Changes:

  • Fixed the selected library row's bottom corners going square while a game was running. The hidden title separator added a second line, growing the row past its list cell, which clipped the selection highlight. The separator now leaves the flow and the row keeps its normal height.

Everything from 1.2.1 is included. Theme only: https://github.com/DavidHiFi/MochaSteam

Mocha Steam 1.2.1

Download millennium-stuff-v1.2.1.zip, extract it, exit Steam, then run in the extracted folder:

powershell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\install.ps1 -Apply -Configure

Changes:

  • Fixed three skin.json entries that pointed at files that do not exist (library and friends scripts, screenshot manager style).

Everything from 1.2.0 is included. Theme only: https://github.com/DavidHiFi/MochaSteam

v1.1.6 - Mocha Steam

@DavidHiFi DavidHiFi released this 30 Sep 11:56

Correct the actual Steam store search dropdown's frost. Steam's navbar had a 10px backdrop filter that created a backdrop root, trapping the dropdown's 16px filter inside it. The scoped DWMX stylesheet now clears current and legacy navbar filters while keeping the dropdown filter.

Verified on the real store page that the dropdown retains 16px blur and every ancestor has no backdrop filter. Installed CSS hashes match. A new visual screenshot was unavailable while the user's game was foreground. No focus change, restart, or game-file change.

v1.1.5 - Mocha Steam

@DavidHiFi DavidHiFi released this 30 Sep 11:44

Fix the notification's extra blurred strip by documenting and removing the Windhawk "Titlebar for Everyone" conflict on Steam's webhelper process. The mod remains enabled for other apps. Native Steam popup types and a real 283x70 in-game toast were verified after the repair.

The theme uses continuous main-window glass, keeps the sidebar at 0.9 opacity, and applies frosted fills to store search and options dropdowns. Notification cards use a subtle 6px blur with an inset edge.

If you use "Titlebar for Everyone", add steamwebhelper.exe to its custom process exclusions while preserving existing exclusions. This machine setting is not changed by the theme installer. Already running Steam may require its next normal start to discard the injected popup wrapper. See docs/mocha-steam.md section 13.

Verified deployed-file hashes, native toast type and dimensions, and store dropdown computed styles. Fresh game launch and full store dropdown visuals remain untested. No game files changed.

v1.1.4 - Mocha Steam

Center the library shelf's three-line drag handle in its header. The handle uses half the actual header height instead of a fixed top offset, and the glyph no longer has an extra 3px downward translation. Live measurements confirm matching centers in both 32px and 25px headers.

v1.1.3 - Mocha Steam

@DavidHiFi DavidHiFi released this 29 Sep 22:39

The v1.1.3 release restores readable header chips and HowLongToBeat pills, repairs invalid alpha colors and missing shadows, and keeps the top strip translucent without moving the account and options controls out of the bottom-left corner.

The sidebar keeps its 0.9 fill. Wallpaper blur uses the existing DWMX acrylic backdrop. CSS frost filters apply to page surfaces and artwork overlays.

v1.1.2 - Mocha Steam

@DavidHiFi DavidHiFi released this 29 Sep 17:25

Backdrop blocks squashed. The acrylic accent now carries a dark Catppuccin mantle tint (~0.88 alpha) instead of no tint, so a bright app behind the window (Discord) can no longer read through the theme as bright patches with hard edges. The sidebar panel is 0.9 (was 0.8) and the Mica Transparency option moves to 75, so the remaining bleed is tiny. Measured after: sidebar flat within 1-2 levels over its full height, library content within ~6 (blur gradient), against 20-30 before. Details in docs/mocha-steam.md section 11 and docs/dwmx-acrylic-plugin.md.

v1.1.1 - Mocha Steam

@DavidHiFi DavidHiFi released this 29 Sep 16:33

Settings polish and the top-strip fix.

  • Plugin and theme rows are individual rounded cards now (surface0 fill, edge ring, 8px gap) instead of one continuous list.
  • Every settings tab carries its own edge; the active tab lifts to surface0 with a blue rim so the open tab is obvious.
  • The top strip (menu bar / super nav) is no longer fully translucent: it carries the chrome surface (mantle 0.92), so a bright app behind the window no longer shows through as a lighter block with a hard edge above the sidebar.
  • Full details in docs/mocha-steam.md sections 9 and 10.
