Little NPC 0.3.1

Meet Pip, Arden and Nova: original pixel companions for the edge of your Obsidian workspace.

Not everything has to be about productivity and keyboard shortcuts. A little company is welcome too.

• Choose one of three companions and three crisp pixel sizes.
• Watch eight autonomous activities, from wandering and waving to stretching and dozing.
• Move closer to make the NPC stop and follow your mouse in four head directions.
• Hover or click to open up to six fixed favorite commands in speech bubbles.
• Configure commands, labels, walking speed, attention distance and hover delay.
• Explore all ten behaviors in an animated, read-only settings gallery.
• Keyboard navigation, preserved editor focus and selection, reduced motion and background pause.
• Short necks, clean pixel silhouettes and integer physical-pixel rendering.

Install

Download little-npc-0.3.1.zip, extract it into <your-vault>/.obsidian/plugins/little-npc/, then enable Little NPC in Obsidian's Community plugins settings. The three plugin files must be directly inside that folder.

Alternatively, download main.js, manifest.json and styles.css individually. Keep your existing data.json when updating.

Desktop only. Tested in Obsidian 1.14.3. No runtime dependencies, network requests, analytics or command usage history.

Validation: strict TypeScript, nine unit tests and the production build passed locally and in GitHub Actions. Release files match the live-tested Obsidian installation.
