STM32RomWebFlasher V1.0.3
First public release of STM32RomWebFlasher — a browser-based firmware flashing workflow for STM32 MCUs using the built-in System ROM Bootloader over UART, powered by an ESP8266.
Highlights
- Web UI (LAN-based flashing): Upload a
.binfile from your browser and program STM32 without external PC flashing tools during updates. - LittleFS storage: Firmware is stored on the ESP8266 as
/update.binand then streamed to the STM32 bootloader. - mDNS support: Access the UI via
http://stm32flasher.local/(hostname configurable). - Login protection: Simple credential-based login to prevent accidental access on shared networks.
- One-click operations: Full Update (erase + program + jump), Erase Only, Program Only, Jump to App, Read Version/Info, and RAM link test.
- ROM bootloader protocol compatibility: Uses the STM32 bootloader USART protocol (8E1 commonly required).
Web UI Workflow
- Open the UI via IP or mDNS
- Login
- Connect Target (ESP8266 controls BOOT0/NRST and syncs bootloader)
- Upload
update.binto LittleFS - Run commands (Erase / Program / Full Update / Jump / Info)
Notes / Requirements
- Ensure correct wiring: BOOT0, NRST, UART TX/RX, and common GND
- If you see “Missing final ACK”, verify boot mode/timing and UART parity/baud.
