Bandit joins your coding session 🦝

The big one: Bandit can now sit in on a Claude Code session and handle permission prompts for you. When the agent wants to run a command or edit a file, a little Allow / Deny card pops up on the raccoon β€” you answer from him instead of switching to the terminal.

  • Only the tools that matter β€” he steps in for Bash / Write / Edit, never your reads.
  • Never hangs β€” ignore him and the prompt quietly goes back to the terminal.
  • Still 100% offline β€” it's all local files. No server, no network. The kernel still forbids him from touching the internet.

Install (or update)

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/DavidSirota/bandit/main/install.sh | sh

Bring him into Claude Code (needs jq β†’ brew install jq)

sh ~/Applications/Bandit.app/Contents/Resources/hooks/install-hook.sh

Then start a fresh Claude Code session and he's in.

Thanks for adopting a raccoon. Feed him, water him, pet him β€” and have fun. 🦝
