English by default

• New installations open in English, regardless of the Windows language.
• An existing explicit Russian selection is preserved.
• Settings, tray and desktop menus, wallpaper controls, clock dates, lyrics statuses and terminal system labels now have English translations.
• Choose English or Русский under Desktop → More settings → Interface language, then restart Pigment. The welcome tour also offers both languages.
• Saved layouts, custom menu labels, wallpaper names and song lyrics retain their original text.

The live music preset recording is in the gallery. It shows one way to use Pigment; the app also includes wallpaper colors, desktop styles, widgets, a dock, window overview, globe search and much more.

Beta status

Application and installer compiled. No new automated tests were run for this release. A complete fresh Windows installation, update and uninstall cycle has not been exercised. The installer remains unsigned. Previous lyrics-provider and Wallpaper Engine limitations remain.

Updates and restoration during uninstall from 0.1.3 remain included. Application source is private; this public repository contains downloads, documentation and gallery assets.

Restore appearance during uninstall

• The uninstaller now includes Restore appearance from before Pigment, checked by default.
• After Pigment is closed, it restores backed-up Windows colors, supported integration settings and the saved lock-screen image before removing program files.
• Restoration runs without starting widgets, applying new colors or opening the main app.
• Cached classic Windows colors refresh immediately. Integrations may need to be reopened.
• If restoration fails or an entry was changed outside Pigment, removal stops with a report. Already restored entries can be retried safely. Clearing the checkbox deliberately keeps current appearance.
• Settings and backups remain available. Wallpaper choices and third-party applications are not rolled back; this is not a full Windows restore point.
• Existing 0.1.2 users can install this version from Updates. Older installers gain the new uninstaller after updating.

New

• Updates page and tray entry: background release checks, release notes,
  a download progress bar, and an Update button.
• Installer downloads are verified against the official release SHA-256.
• Updating waits for Pigment to close and restarts it afterward. Settings and
  wallpapers are preserved. Portable builds keep their existing executable path.
• Automatic checks and beta releases can be disabled independently.
• Windows Terminal music preset opens all five effects around the player,
  temporarily hides the desktop clock, and preserves the command terminal on exit.
• Window movement with Win uses the latest cursor position rather than queueing
  every movement. Lyrics can use approximate word reveal for ordinary LRC.

First update

Versions before 0.1.2 do not have the updater. Install this version manually once;
future compatible releases can be installed from the app.

Beta status

The installer is unsigned. The app and installer were compiled for this release.
No new automated test suite was run. The complete in-app download, installation,
rollback, and restart cycle has not been verified on a clean Windows system.
The previously documented Wallpaper Engine and lyrics limitations still apply.

Pigment 0.1.1 beta

Your wallpaper. Your atmosphere.

This update adds an English project page, an expanded terminal gallery,
and an experimental branded Windows installer. The app payload is the same
as the previous 0.1.0 beta; this release does not claim new app bug fixes.

• Pigment-0.1.1-beta-setup-x64.exe — experimental native installer. English/Russian,
  current-user install, Start menu and optional desktop shortcut. No Python or admin access needed.
• Pigment-0.1.1-beta-windows-x64.zip — portable build. Extract the entire archive
  and run Pigment/Pigment.exe; keep _internal beside it.
• SHA256SUMS.txt — checksums for the binary downloads.

More room for the terminal

Wallpaper colors, transparency and blur, the rotating Pigment ASCII logo,
Matrix rain, peak bars (cava) and the bass wave (vis). The gallery also
includes the dock, appearance page, player animation and installer in both languages.

Installer status

Unsigned and experimental. Compilation and UI preview are complete; the full
install, update, recovery and uninstall cycle has not been checked yet.

Setup uses %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Pigment. Removal preserves app settings
and checks owned files against a hash manifest. Restore Windows appearance
inside Pigment before uninstalling if you want to undo it. Autostart is configured
inside the app. Details.

Existing beta limitations

• Earlier app checks passed 57 automated scenarios, including two separate native
  window checks on the second display. No new automated suite was run in this update.
• The app passed an isolated packaged-exe check without Python paths; a clean
  Windows installation has not been verified.
• The last Wallpaper Engine switching check refused the command with code 5.
  That environment's switching and the cause of an earlier WE crash remain unresolved.
• Lyrics and imported Windows pins can be incomplete. Real display FPS was not measured.
• Terminal/gallery scenes are labelled renderer previews using demo content;
  the spectra use a demo signal, not a live audio recording.

док с волной увеличения, управление музыкой, LRC и оформление терминала.

Скачать и запустить

Pigment-0.1.0-beta-windows-x64.zip — готовая сборка для Windows 11 x64.
Распакуй архив целиком и запусти Pigment/Pigment.exe.
Папка _internal должна остаться рядом. Python устанавливать не нужно.

SHA256SUMS.txt содержит контрольную сумму портативной сборки.

В этой версии

• Стекло, Тишина и Музыка: готовые оформления с выбором монитора и возвратом настроек.
• Часы, календарь и собственная панель; закрепления и открытые окна.
• Новый плеер «Текст»: название и пауза всегда, прогресс и переключение при наведении.
• Поиск LRC в нескольких источниках, свой файл и сохранение сдвига для песни.
• Общая лента обоев с фильтром по цвету и сортировкой.
• Два встроенных процедурных живых оформления для Wallpaper Engine.
• Команды терминала: neofetch, cmatrix, столбики cava и волна vis.
• Исправлено сохранение развёрнутого состояния окна и режима плеера после перезапуска.

Проверки и ограничения beta

57 автоматических сценариев пройдены, включая два отдельных нативных
сценария настоящих окон на втором мониторе. Готовый exe прошёл проверку
с новыми настройками и без путей к установленному Python.

Первая установка на чистой Windows ещё не проверена.
В финальном прогоне Wallpaper Engine отказал команде смены с кодом 5;
переключение в этом окружении не подтверждено. Причина прежнего падения
Wallpaper Engine остаётся открытой. Полный ручной проход плеера и измерение
экранной плавности дока и визуализаторов также ещё впереди.

Текст есть не для каждой песни. Для точной подсветки по словам нужны
настоящие метки слов; обычный LRC содержит время строк.
Импорт закреплений Windows может быть неполным.
