Patchbay v1.5.3

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 07 Oct 19:13
2341c82

Patchbay: a diagram editor for hardware studio rigs.

New in 1.5.3: E switches between select and pan, and a zoom slider under the zoom buttons gives smooth zooming.

1.5.2: a new example board that shows sections, self-routing cables and the live colour-coded legend. File → Add example board adds a copy anytime.

1.5.1: double-clicking a block always edits its text (it no longer creates a new block), double-clicking a cable names it, N adds a block at the cursor (Ctrl+1 in the desktop app), and toolbar buttons show their shortcuts on hover.

1.5.0: cables route around blocks instead of behind them, leaving and entering square to the side they're attached to, and re-plan live while you drag. Select a cable and drag the white handle on any middle segment to move that part of it; Clear bends returns it to automatic.

1.4.0: a File menu. Save to file keeps writing every change to a board file on your computer (Ctrl+S), Open file brings one back (Ctrl+O or drag it in), and Share link packs a board into a link anyone can open as their own copy.

1.3.0: sections. Select a block and turn on Section to make it a labelled background area that groups gear; cables pass over it and moving it brings its contents along.

1.2.0: the legend block shows each cable name in its own cable colour and updates live. Use Insert legend block (Board panel) to add one.

1.1.0: import Whimsical diagrams. Copy as SVG in Whimsical, then press Ctrl+V on the Patchbay canvas.
