Arrodes 0.2.3

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 15 Oct 05:31
b04d17f

Highlights

  • Support Anthropic OAuth for accessing Claude Code models through Claude browser sign-in (experimental) in /login and /setup. API keys remain the default; Anthropic profile aliases expose both choices.
  • Use clojure-llm-sdk 0.6.4 for the native OAuth wire protocol, tool-name/native replay round trips, complete stream validation, and usage/pricing. Arrodes retains browser/manual PKCE login, private storage, refresh, cancellation, and credential ownership.
  • Reject OAuth on custom endpoints and incompatible custom transports, including retained legacy Claude credentials. Anthropic hosted web search remains API-key-only. No credentials are implicitly imported from Claude tools.
  • Users choosing Claude Code OAuth accept responsibility and liability for their use, compliance with Anthropic's terms and account permissions, and account consequences. Anthropic controls eligibility and limits; compatibility does not imply authorization or endorsement. See authentication and user responsibility.

Downloads and verification

Self-contained macOS and Linux executables for arm64 and x64, with SHA-256 checksums, third-party notices, and corresponding sources. macOS binaries are not Developer ID signed or notarized. Windows is not included.

Built once from b04d17f87982345446562bdf57dfc94afd4bc2ad. The exact macOS arm64 candidate was smoke-tested outside the checkout without Java, Clojure, or Bun on PATH: version, RPC, persistent REPL state returning 42, and native authentication choices/responsibility wording. Required CI passed. Fresh account-backed Anthropic inference was not exercised because no OAuth token was available.

Arrodes 0.2.2

@github-actions github-actions released this 05 Oct 11:01
b2bbe3b

What's new

  • Opt-in chronological summary-tree context, /context controls, and ordinary REPL history navigation. Linear context remains the default.
  • Concurrent summary preparation with per-node deadlines and complete-view readiness; original history and native effects remain intact.
  • Native images reach the model through the REPL, and failures preserve useful output and retained diagnostics.
  • Improved coding guidance and clojure-llm-sdk 0.6.3.
  • Corrected macOS subprocess cleanup races.

Upgrade note

Persistence is now SQLite schema 6. Supported schema-3/4/5 stores receive retained backups before migration. RPC framing remains version 1; exports use version 2 only when typed history-retrieval references require it.

Arrodes 0.2.1

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 01 Oct 11:01
9b3e146

Arrodes 0.2.1 for macOS and Linux, arm64 and x64.

Changes

  • Add native web-search and bounded web-read functions to the persistent Clojure REPL. Hosted search uses existing Codex/OpenAI Responses, Gemini, OpenRouter, Perplexity Agent, or Anthropic API-key credentials; a configured MCP backend is an explicit alternative, not an automatic fallback.
  • Preserve qualified source, citation, page, and provenance data with spec-checked native results. URL reading extracts inert text, headings, code, and links without browser execution.
  • Fix Codex source/citation loss when completed SSE output items contain the evidence but the terminal response has empty output. Retain answer-cited URLs before consulted pages under source limits.
  • Show attributed provider/function error codes directly in REPL failures instead of misleading compiler-wrapper syntax errors, while retaining evaluation progress and source diagnostics.
  • Split store and runtime ownership into cohesive namespaces and migrate internal callers directly, without forwarding compatibility aliases.

Compatibility

SQLite schema 5, JSONL RPC protocol 1, and session export format 1 are unchanged. Existing result/artifact availability and retention limits continue to apply. Search does not replace the coding model or introduce a second agent loop.

Installation and update

Self-contained executables, SHA-256 checksums, third-party notices, and corresponding sources are attached. Existing packaged installations can run arrodes update.

Anthropic access uses API keys/cloud credentials; Claude.ai subscription OAuth and Copilot login are not supported. Windows remains experimental and is not included. macOS binaries are not Developer ID signed or notarized.

Arrodes 0.2.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 27 Sep 16:11

Fixed

arrodes update no longer reports Release download is truncated when GitHub serves HTTP-compressed release metadata or assets.

Fetch automatically decodes these responses, while Content-Length describes their compressed transfer size. The updater now validates the correct byte representation. Decoded size limits, unencoded truncation checks and published asset sizes/SHA-256 checksums remain enforced.

Real gzip HTTP regression tests cover successful updates and oversized decoded metadata. SDK remains 0.6.2; session and configuration formats are unchanged.

Upgrading affected installations

The updater in v0.1.8/v0.1.9 may hit this bug before it can fetch the fix. Install v0.2.0 once using the installer or the matching executable below. Future updates can use arrodes update normally.

Self-contained macOS and glibc Linux executables are provided for arm64 and x64, with checksums, notices and corresponding sources. macOS binaries are not Developer ID signed or notarized.

@github-actions github-actions released this 27 Sep 15:36
1e311cb

Dependency-only patch updating clojure-llm-sdk from 0.6.0 to 0.6.2.

  • Includes OpenRouter structured reasoning output and streaming improvements, with native reasoning replay preserved.
  • Updates the SDK's corresponding-source revision and third-party notices.
  • No Arrodes session-schema or configuration-format changes.

Update an existing v0.1.8 installation with arrodes update.

Self-contained executables are available for macOS and glibc Linux, each on arm64 and x64, with SHA-256 checksums, third-party notices and corresponding sources. macOS binaries are not Developer ID signed or notarized.

Highlights

  • Safe self-updates: arrodes update, --check, and explicit --version selection verify published assets and replace the executable atomically without touching application data.
  • Preserved session data: supported schema-3/4 layouts receive private, WAL-inclusive backups before transactional upgrades to schema 5. Unsupported, newer, foreign and malformed stores are rejected instead of reset.
  • Provider reliability: known-model capability validation, bounded connection/read-idle waits, incomplete-stream rejection and clearer failure handling preserve safe cancellation and retry boundaries.
  • Cache-efficient sessions: stable request prefixes survive evaluator replacement, summary requests have separate cache scopes, and automatic compaction waits until another request needs context.
  • Measured usage: /usage and the clickable context footer distinguish cache reads/writes, uncached input, output and active-path estimated spend, with explicit unknowns.
  • Smaller executables: actual gzip payload serialization and target-specific SQLite/JNA libraries reduce download size without removing Java modules, providers, parser assets or licenses.

Upgrading

Current schema-5 stores reopen directly. Supported older layouts upgrade on first open after a retained backup. Live JVM definitions are not checkpoints and do not survive restart. Explicit binary downgrades do not roll back databases.

Install or update older installations using the installer or the matching executable below. After installing this release, use arrodes update for future releases.

Downloads

Self-contained executables are provided for macOS and glibc Linux, each on arm64 and x64. No language runtime installation is required. Verify the matching .sha256 file before running a download.

Includes third-party notices and corresponding sources. Windows remains experimental and is not included. macOS binaries are not Developer ID signed or notarized.

Arrodes 0.1.7

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 27 Sep 10:30
d1875a2

Upgrade warning

Arrodes 0.1.7 requires SQLite schema 5. Startup resets recognized incompatible Arrodes stores and their owned artifacts, permanently removing their sessions/history. Export needed history with the previous compatible build before upgrading. Settings, credentials, foreign databases, and unrelated files are preserved. There is no legacy reader or migration.

Highlights

  • Session-backed agents with independent persistent Clojure REPLs, durable peer messages and completion notices, managed waiting, and operation-scoped results.
  • Submission reconciliation and receipt-to-operation tracking; acceptance, delivery, completion, and worker exit remain distinct.
  • Terminal /agents navigation, messaging, diagnostics, and explicit stop/resume controls.
  • Bounded help recipes for background work, delegation, partial failure, and retained results.
  • Context-sensitive, inert :next inspection guidance; job acknowledgement stays distinct from generic value retrieval.
  • Reusable session/artifact-scoped continuation cursors in artifact-page and RPC artifact.read, including after restart.
  • Partial-execution guidance and final-answer reporting without duplicate peer reports.

The persistent native REPL, existing execution ownership, and explicit cancellation boundaries remain intact. No automatic effect retries, rollback claims, universal task entity, or additional scheduler. RPC framing and session export format remain version 1.

Downloads

Arrodes 0.1.5

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 21 Sep 13:02
c59b970

Arrodes 0.1.5 adds session-owned background Clojure jobs and improves streaming navigation.

  • Start, inspect, wait for, and cancel background functions while keeping the foreground REPL available.
  • Retain native results and captured output; inspect compact statuses or request full details.
  • Read output incrementally with independent cursors, or inspect the retained tail with End/Latest.
  • Follow jobs inline in the conversation and through the existing full-screen browser and inspector.
  • Resume automatic scrolling when returning to the bottom during a streamed reply.

Current formats only: this release requires SQLite schema 3 and the current application-home layout. It does not migrate or adapt older data. Incompatible stores/layouts are rejected and left intact; use a fresh --data-dir PATH or current-format --home PATH when needed. Subagents and process daemons are not included.

Downloads are self-contained executables for macOS and glibc Linux, arm64 and x64, with SHA-256 checksums. No language runtimes are required. Third-party notices and corresponding sources are included. macOS binaries are not Developer ID signed or notarized.

Verified macOS arm64 candidate: packaged RPC/provider flow, job UI and cancellation, output tail/cursors, JVM crash recovery without replay, and rejection of non-current stores without changing their bytes.

Arrodes 0.1.4

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 16 Sep 16:47
5d90da8

What changed

  • A more useful REPL: structured search/list results, directly reusable paths, return-value documentation, workspace docstrings, retained error inspection, and paged results/artifacts.
  • Reliable context accounting: provider-reported usage includes cached tokens; character estimates are gone. Explicit context-limit rejections can compact and retry once without repeating completed REPL effects.
  • Clear compaction progress: internal summaries stay out of the conversation, with a dedicated status while compaction runs.
  • Automatic session titles: immediate local names refined by a background model call. Manual names always win; the title provider/model is configurable.
  • Smoother terminal use: the first /sessions invocation stays open, streaming keeps a stable viewport, and blank rows separate the title, transcript and composer.
  • Better resource/MCP information: discovery scope, native result contracts, server/tool provenance, and explicit uncertain outcomes.

Compatibility

Search/list functions now return maps containing :entries or :matches; skill/prompt catalogs return :items with scope information. There is no legacy format mode. Existing retained values remain intact, and the SQLite schema is unchanged. Live REPL bindings reset when the runtime restarts.

Downloads

Self-contained executables are attached for macOS and Linux, on arm64 and x64. No language runtimes are required. Each binary has a SHA-256 checksum; third-party notices and corresponding sources are included. macOS binaries are not signed or notarized. Windows remains experimental and is not included.
