What's new

  • Compare across clusters or namespaces. Right-click → Compare with, or pick two rows and click Compare. Only what you configure is compared (spec, data, your own labels and annotations); list items are matched by name, secret values are compared without being shown, and cluster/namespace names can be ignored so per-environment hostnames don't show up.
  • Cordon, uncordon and drain nodes. Drain evicts pods through the Eviction API, so PodDisruptionBudgets are respected. Cordoned nodes show a yellow Cordoned status.
  • Checkboxes for bulk select. Hover a row to tick it, or use the header checkbox to select all. ⌘-click and ⇧-click still work.
  • Protected contexts hide every change: the bulk bar, the YAML editor's Save, debug containers and node shells.
  • Right-click menus have a normal shadow again.

Install

  1. Download Masthead-macos-arm64.dmg below (Apple Silicon, macOS 13+), open it and drag Masthead onto Applications.
  2. Open Masthead. macOS says "Masthead" Not Opened, because the app isn't notarized by Apple. Click Done, not "Move to Bin".
  3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to "Masthead" was blocked… and click Open Anyway, then confirm.

Or skip steps 2–3 with one Terminal command: xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Masthead.app

This is only needed once: Masthead updates itself from then on (the Update button bottom right, or Masthead → Check for Updates…).

Already installed? Update from inside the app; the .zip is what the updater downloads.
