Theme Selector v3.0.0-alpha
Pre-releaseTheme Selector 3.0 is a ground-up rewrite. The menu is now its own app, with a preview grid, in-app theme downloads and a DIY theme builder. This is an alpha: it has been tested on real hardware, but expect rough edges. Please report issues.
Note: this demo video shows the previous version. A new one for 3.0 is on the way.
Requirements
- Options Menu v2.0.0-alpha or newer. This release does not work with older Options Menu versions.
- Hakchi Wi-Fi mod (WPA Supplicant), only if you want to download themes from the internet.
If you have an older Theme Selector installed, uninstall it first.
What's new
New Theme Manager
- Browse your installed themes in a preview grid and apply one with A. The theme you're using is outlined.
- Same look as Options Menu 2.0, with its colors taken from
/etc/options_menu/theme.cfg. The outline of the active theme has its own key,ActiveThemeBorder. - Only themes and options that fit your console (NES/Famicom or SNES/Super Famicom) are shown.
Download themes
Browse the online theme catalog and install themes straight from the console (Wi-Fi mod required). Use Refresh to update the list.
DIY themes
Build your own theme from pieces of the themes you already have: background, walls, characters, colors, packed art and fonts. Every choice is previewed live, including animated Mario and Luigi sprites.
Settings
- Theme Randomizer: a different theme each time you go Home.
- Audio Randomizer: random Home music, optionally on every folder.
- Theme Per Folder: give a game folder its own theme by naming a theme after it. Allow Different Theme To Subfolder lets subfolders use their own matching theme too.
- System Clean Up removes files your console type doesn't need.
- Reset clears this mod's settings without a full uninstall.
Languages
Available in the same nine languages as Options Menu 2.0: English, Français, Deutsch, Español, Italiano, Nederlands, Português (Europeu), Русский and 日本語. The on-screen messages shown while a theme is applied are translated too.
