Unable to execute the ./dc-build.sh script

Problem description
I am trying to install defect dojo in my ubuntu system as per https://github.com/DefectDojo/django-DefectDojo, but gettign an error as "Checking docker compose version
is not a supported docker-compose version, please upgrade to the minimum supported version: 2.0" while executing the ./dc-build.sh" script

Can you provide any more details?

I'm working on Linux and not experiencing these issues myself.

$ docker --version
Docker version 27.3.1, build ce12230
$ cat /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Pop
DISTRIB_RELEASE=22.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=jammy
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS"

The docker compose version check issues this command:
docker compose version
So without the dash which was used in the past before compose moved into docker itself (docker-compose --version)

For those with problems, what's the output of docker compose version ?

Other people added the '-' back in and got their builds working: https://owasp.slack.com/archives/C2P5BA8MN/p1726473326185659?thread_ts=1726473181.406109&cid=C2P5BA8MN

Other people reinstalled compose as a CLI plugin to docker to get it to work. In the top post here on Github it looks like Docker is outdated or missing the compose plugin.
