Repo Creator 1.4.1 — Automatic Updates

Version 1.4.1 introduces built-in application updates, making it easier to stay up to date without manually downloading every new release.

What's New

  • Automatic Updates — Check for new versions when Repo Creator starts.
  • Stable & Beta Channels — Choose which releases you want to receive.
  • One-Click Installation — Download, verify, install, and restart directly from the application.
  • Update Controls — Check manually, view release notes, monitor download progress, or postpone updates.
  • Secure Downloads — Cryptographically signed updates with version verification and downgrade protection.

Installation

Download the appropriate Windows or macOS installer under Assets.

Important: Users of v1.4.0 and earlier must install v1.4.1 manually. Future compatible releases can be installed through the built-in updater.

Known limitations:

  • Windows installers remain unsigned at the operating-system level.
  • macOS builds are not notarized and require physical-device verification.
  • Windows portable ZIP installations require manual replacement.
  • Automatic update installation and restart have not yet been tested end to end.
