Repo Creator 1.4.2 — README & Project Setup Improvements

Version 1.4.2 improves README generation, project naming, and technology stack selection.

What's New

  • Cleaner READMEs — Generate useful documentation without empty sections or unnecessary placeholders.
  • README Customisation — Preserve custom content and optionally include a small Repo Creator footer.
  • Natural Project Names — Automatically convert names like My Amazing Project into my-amazing-project.
  • Improved Stack Switching — Replace previous stack selections while preserving manually added technologies.

Installation

Existing v1.4.1 users can update through Settings → Updates using the Beta channel.

New users can download the appropriate Windows or macOS package under Assets.

Known limitations:

  • Windows installers remain unsigned at the operating-system level.
  • macOS builds are not notarized.
  • Windows portable installations require manual replacement.
  • The main window header incorrectly displays 1.4.1; Settings shows the correct version.
