TennoScope v0.13.1
[0.13.1] - 2026-10-11
Changed
- The Linux packages and the AppImage are built on different Ubuntu releases. The
.deband the.rpmare built on 24.04, so their binaries need glibc 2.39 and run on
Ubuntu 24.04, Debian 13 and Fedora 40 or newer; on Ubuntu 22.04 and Debian 12 they
install but the binary will not start. The AppImage is built on 22.04 again and
references nothing past glibc 2.35, so it runs on both, and it is the one to use on
22.04 and Debian 12. The.debalso names both PipeWire package generations, soapt
can resolve its dependency on 24.04 at all.
Fixed
-
The item catalog loads again. The WFCD items catalog that
api.warframestat.us/items
serves is now larger than the 64 MiB the app allowed (68,640,011 bytes on 2026-10-10), so
every download was refused as too large: a fresh install reported "No valid WFCD catalog is
available" and never populated the collection, and an existing install kept serving its
last cached catalog as stale. The limit is now 256 MiB. Reported and fixed by
@NekoRem. -
The reward overlay appears on HiDPI Linux desktops. On a session with a GDK scale
factor above 1 (for example Xft.dpi 192 on KDE Plasma) the strip was created and shown
but placed at twice its intended offset and size, which on a 2880x1800 panel below a 4K
monitor put it entirely off-screen. The X11 game rectangle is physical pixels and GTK
positions windows in logical ones; the rect is now divided by the window's scale factor
before it is handed to GTK. Scale 1 is unchanged. Reported and fixed by
@NekoRem.
Install
Windows: the installer is attached to this release and installs for your user only,
so there is no UAC prompt. It is not code-signed, so SmartScreen warns on first run.
Debian, Ubuntu: from this project's APT repository, which the workflow republishes
from this release's .deb:
curl -fsSL https://deftera186.github.io/tennoscope/key.asc | sudo gpg --dearmor -o /usr/share/keyrings/tennoscope.gpg
echo "deb [signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/tennoscope.gpg] https://deftera186.github.io/tennoscope stable main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/tennoscope.list > /dev/null
sudo apt update
sudo apt install tenno-scopeOr take the .deb off this release directly:
sudo apt install ./TennoScope_0.13.1_amd64.debFedora: the COPR can lag the newest release, so the .rpm below is the way around
that lag:
sudo dnf copr enable deftera/tennoscope && sudo dnf install tennoscope
sudo dnf install ./TennoScope-0.13.1-1.x86_64.rpm # Fedora, without the COPRArch, Manjaro, EndeavourOS, CachyOS: repacks the release .deb, so it needs no
toolchain:
curl -O https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Deftera186/tennoscope/main/packaging/arch-bin/PKGBUILD && makepkg -siGentoo: from the deftera overlay:
sudo emerge --ask app-eselect/eselect-repository
sudo eselect repository enable deftera
sudo emaint sync --repo deftera
sudo emerge --ask games-util/tennoscope-binAnything else: the AppImage. Some distributions no longer install FUSE 2 by
default; if it will not run, prefer your distribution's FUSE 2 package or use
APPIMAGE_EXTRACT_AND_RUN=1:
chmod +x TennoScope_0.13.1_amd64.AppImage
./TennoScope_0.13.1_amd64.AppImageThe relic overlay reads reward cards with tesseract, and the collection browser and
marketplace work without it. Install tesseract with English data if you want the
overlay.
TennoScope v0.13.0
[0.13.0] - 2026-10-02
Added
- Reward slips show whether you have mastered the Prime each part builds. Each
Prime part's slip on the reward overlay and the Rewards page ends in a mastery mark:
mastered, built and at what rank, in the foundry, or unmastered, and a dash where the
app cannot tell. An unmastered slip draws the Prime's set as part silhouettes, held
copies solid and missing ones dimmed, and rules its edge when you are short of the
part, twice when it is the last part the set needs. Akbronco, Aklex, Akmagnus and
Akvasto Prime each take two of their single Prime, so once you have mastered or
built a Lex Prime, its parts still count while you hold fewer than two and have
neither mastered nor built the Aklex: their slips read "Unmastered Aklex", draw the
Aklex's set and never rule twice. Mastery is permanent but held, built and pending
parts are not, so the marks are read from this run's inventory: on Overlay access,
or before the first Full sync of a session, only "mastered" can appear and every
other mark is a dash. - Kiosk tiles mark parts of items you have not mastered. A tile for a part of an
item you have not mastered, built or started building gives its price chip over to
one strip that says the item is unmastered and what the part sells for, adding how
many of the part you hold against how many you need when you need it more than once
and the strip has room for it. The strip keeps clear of the game's own owned badge,
gives up a further 12px for a held count of ten or more, and drops its detail until
the word and the price both fit. With no live inventory no strip is drawn at all and
one line over the grid reads "Mastery: no live inventory". - A switch for the mastery marks. Settings > Preferences carries "Mastery marks
on overlays", on by default. Turning it off stops both overlays drawing marks from
their next update, without a restart.
Changed
- The reward overlay is 24px taller. Its window was 156 of 1080 design pixels and
is now 180, which is what the set row at the foot of a slip needs. The window still
hangs directly below the game's reward cards, so the extra height never covers them.
Fixed
- Odonata Prime Wings Blueprint is named correctly. The Ducat Kiosk
recognises a tile against the names it expects to find, and the Wings
blueprint was missing from them while the Harness and Systems blueprints were
there, so a read of that tile could match the Harness and show its price.
The collection listed a held Wings blueprint as Prime Archwing Wings
Blueprint with no ducat value; it now carries its own name and its ducats. - The Ducat values switch keeps its label under keyboard focus. Focus
turns a switch light with a dark label, but a switch that was on kept its
light label, so tabbing to Ducat values while it was on showed a blank light
block. The label now turns dark whether the switch is on or off. - A blueprint reward counts the blueprints you hold. The relic tables name a
stacked Forma reward "2X Forma Blueprint", which matched nothing in the
collection, so its slip read "Not owned" however many Forma blueprints you
held. A slip's owned count also took what a blueprint builds for the
blueprint, so a Forma Blueprint slip counted your built Forma instead, and
with mastery marks off a Prime's blueprint could count the Prime you built. - A reward from a relic with no known drop table gets its own name. The
item data lists the current Prime Resurgence relics with no rewards, so a
squadmate's card from one was matched only against the other relics' rewards
and took the closest of their names: a Baza Prime Blueprint read cleanly and
showed as a Burston Prime Blueprint, with a mastery mark for the wrong item. A
card read near-exactly is now named even when no known relic lists it, and a
squad whose relics are all unknown is read the same way instead of getting no
overlay at all. - A doubtful card read says so. Every card read off the screen reached its
slip as certain, so the slip's "Uncertain" mark, which also withholds the Top
plat and Top ducats marks and the mastery rule and set, never appeared for
one. A card matched below 80% now carries it. - A misread of your own reward is read again instead of shown. The game
logs which reward is yours, and a read of the screen that leaves it out is
dropped and taken again. That check never ran when your reward was a
blueprint, about half of what relics drop, or came from a relic with no
known drop table. It now runs for both. A Forma blueprint is still not
checked. - Game text no longer shows through the reward overlay. Its slips let 7%
of the game through, and the blur meant to hide it cannot sample the game
window underneath, so the text under the reward cards, including squadmates'
names, showed faintly through them. The slips are opaque now. - An update offer survives a restart. The daily check throttle skipped the
network on reopen, so the masthead button vanished on the next launch and
stayed gone until the next check ran. The offered version is now stored and
the mark comes back on startup, where it waits until you dismiss it, install
it, or a newer build replaces it. Clicking it opens Settings, and the
AppImage mount check reads your temporary directory instead of assuming
/tmp. - An update offer survives a check that cannot run. With no network the
automatic check restored the previous phase in silence, so the app went on
reporting a last-checked time for a check that never ran, and pressing Check
by hand threw away an offer that was already standing along with the button
that acts on it. A standing offer now keeps the note. - The sell form says which bound you crossed. A bad price or quantity
disabled the button with nothing naming the field or its range. Each now
reports itself, and the reason is attached to the input rather than to a
control you cannot focus. - Hidden status text is still announced. Two strings were removed from the
accessibility tree rather than merely hidden, so a reader arriving before the
text had nothing to say and the verdict disappeared entirely below a narrow
window. Both are clipped now, and the control borders meet the contrast
target the stylesheet sets for them. - A clipped label gives its whole text on hover. The reader's verdict, the
game-reader line and each order's line-claim could only be read in full by
widening the window. - The Linux packages recommend
xwininfo. Wine's virtual-desktop mode
hides the game from the ordinary window search, so the X11 path walks an
xwininfotree to find it. The deb, rpm and COPR now recommend it beside
tesseract, and the Gentoo overlay names it at install time. - The AppImage starts outside the account that built it. Its
AppRun.wrappedshipped at 770, so a sandbox running as neither owner nor
group could not execute it and the app quit on launch, which the catalog's
firejail test caught. World permission bits are normalized across the AppDir
before the repack, and the extracted result is checked for the same.
Installing
Each option below gives you a tennoscope command and a desktop entry, except the
AppImage, which is a single file you run directly. The full guide, including what the
overlay needs for relic recognition, is in docs/install.md.
Debian, Ubuntu: from this project's APT repository, so updates arrive with
everything else:
curl -fsSL https://deftera186.github.io/tennoscope/key.asc | sudo gpg --dearmor -o /usr/share/keyrings/tennoscope.gpg

sudo apt update
sudo apt install tenno-scopeFedora: from COPR. It is submitted by hand and can lag the newest release; the

TennoScope v0.12.1-rc1
[0.12.1-rc1] - 2026-09-29
Fixed
- Ducat kiosk prices agree with each other and hold still. Grid tiles and
basket rows share one price join, so the same part can never show two
numbers, and prices come from the median of completed trades instead of the
lowest live ask, which a single listing could swing to absurd heights.
Built-part labels price at their blueprint twin. - The kiosk overlay keeps its prices while scrolling and on dim pipelines.
The chip mask rides streamed scroll offsets, the brightness gate follows the
strip instead of a fixed white, and captured frames mask out
already-published chips before recognition, so scrolled grids keep their
prices instead of blanking or misattaching them. Sparse panes re-phase
instead of staying blank. - Proton sessions no longer fail as "multiple inventory authorizations".
A lone credential is confirmed with a wider scan instead of refused, and a
truncated partial scan reports a retryable state rather than an error.
Install
AppImage: download TennoScope_0.12.1_amd64.AppImage from the assets below, make it executable, run it.
Debian/Ubuntu: download TennoScope_0.12.1_amd64.deb from the assets below and install it.
Fedora: download TennoScope-0.12.1-1.x86_64.rpm from the assets below and install it.
Windows: run TennoScope_0.12.1_x64-setup.exe (per-user, no elevation). The installer is unsigned: SmartScreen will warn on first run until the download builds reputation.
Packaged installs (APT repository, COPR, Winget, Gentoo overlay, Arch) stay on 0.12.0 until the stable 0.12.1.
TennoScope v0.12.0
[0.12.0] - 2026-09-24
Added
- Download-and-prompt self-update for portable installs. Portable
AppImages and per-user Windows installs now check for new versions daily,
download only when asked, and restart to finish. Nothing installs itself.
A masthead mark announces offered and downloaded updates, and the About
page names the installed version with its installer identity. System
installs (deb/rpm/Gentoo/Arch) check too but get a package-manager nudge
with a copyable command instead of an install button that could never work. - Signed APT repository. Release
.debs feed a multiversion signed APT
pool on first publish; Debian/Ubuntu install with
sudo apt install tenno-scope. Fedora gains a COPR (deftera/tennoscope),
and Windows gains a Winget package.
Fixed
- Ducat kiosk overlay rides out slower sale-confirm rebuilds. The close grace
window is 3s instead of 1.5s: a measured 1.67s rebuild on a live session tore
the overlay down just past the old window, blanking prices after every sale.
Install
- Portable Linux: download
TennoScope_0.12.0_amd64.AppImagebelow, make it
executable, run it. Future updates arrive in-app. - Debian/Ubuntu:
sudo apt install tenno-scopefrom this project's APT
repository (goes live with this release; see docs/install.md). - Fedora:
sudo dnf copr enable deftera/tennoscope && sudo dnf install tennoscope. - Windows: run
TennoScope_0.12.0_x64-setup.exe(per-user, no elevation).
The installer is unsigned: SmartScreen will warn on first run until the
download builds reputation.
TennoScope v0.11.0
[0.11.0] - 2026-09-20
Fixed
- Reward recognition runs on a background reader and no longer blocks the monitor.
Log events update shared relic context while a single worker performs capture and retries,
so slow OCR cannot delay overlay show/hide, game-exit handling, or poller delivery. Results
from a closed or replaced screen are retired instead of published, and delayed market prices
stay gated by the monitor generation. - Windows reward and kiosk recognition works in the installed app again. The bundled
Tesseract received its data directory in verbatim\\?\form, which rejects the forward
slash Tesseract appends to the filename, soeng.traineddatafailed to open on every
read (issue #12). The directory is unprefixed before Tesseract ever sees it. - Ducat kiosk overlay stays up while picking items. Confirming a sale rebuilds the kiosk
screen, and its close markers no longer end the visit: a close waits out a 1.5s grace
window and a rebuild inside it continues the same session. The quantity dialog no longer
blanks the chips either: an unreadable moment fades them and the next settled read
restores them.
Install
- Windows: download
TennoScope_0.11.0_x64-setup.exe. - Debian/Ubuntu:
curl -fLO https://github.com/Deftera186/tennoscope/releases/download/v0.11.0/TennoScope_0.11.0_amd64.deb && sudo apt install ./TennoScope_0.11.0_amd64.deb - Fedora:
curl -fLO https://github.com/Deftera186/tennoscope/releases/download/v0.11.0/TennoScope-0.11.0-1.x86_64.rpm && sudo dnf install ./TennoScope-0.11.0-1.x86_64.rpm
TennoScope v0.10.0
[0.10.0] - 2026-09-18
Added
- Warframe access is now an explicit backend-enforced mode. Companion keeps the catalog,
relic reference, saved collection, prices and ducats, preferences, and optional warframe.market
workflows useful without observing Warframe. Overlay adds process presence,EE.log, local
visible-pixel recognition, and click-through overlays without process-memory or inventory
access. Full adds read-only process memory and automatic or manual inventory synchronization.
First run starts no Warframe access until a mode is confirmed; legacy accepted installations
migrate to Full.
Changed
- Mode downgrades finish cleanup before becoming effective. Prohibited monitor, capture,
overlay, memory, scanner, and inventory work is stopped and joined before success is reported,
while late work from an older runtime generation is discarded. Saved inventory remains visible
as a timestamped snapshot outside Full, and ownership-dependent order state is marked
unverifiable.
Fixed
- Windows OCR no longer opens a console window for each crop. Reward and kiosk recognition
launch Tesseract withCREATE_NO_WINDOW, preventing the recurring console flashes that can
interrupt a borderless game. - Windows reward and kiosk capture now use DXGI Desktop Duplication instead of WGC. This
avoids WGC's yellow capture border without disabling recognition. Concurrent readers share a
persistent session, release it when observation stops, and recover from display/device changes
with bounded frame waits and a retry cooldown. Capture supports secondary and rotated displays. - Game exit now stops reward polling even before any reward cards were recognized. The
worker is joined so a crashed or closed game cannot leave a capture session alive until the
reward poller's lifetime expires.
Install
- Windows: download
TennoScope_0.10.0_x64-setup.exe. - Debian/Ubuntu:
curl -fLO https://github.com/Deftera186/tennoscope/releases/download/v0.10.0/TennoScope_0.10.0_amd64.deb && sudo apt install ./TennoScope_0.10.0_amd64.deb - Fedora:
curl -fLO https://github.com/Deftera186/tennoscope/releases/download/v0.10.0/TennoScope-0.10.0-1.x86_64.rpm && sudo dnf install ./TennoScope-0.10.0-1.x86_64.rpm - Arch/Steam Deck:
curl -fLO https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Deftera186/tennoscope/v0.10.0/packaging/arch/PKGBUILD && makepkg -si - Gentoo: enable and sync the
defteraoverlay, then run
sudo emerge --ask games-util/tennoscope-bin. - Other Linux: download
TennoScope_0.10.0_amd64.AppImage, make it executable, and run it.
TennoScope v0.9.1
[0.9.1] - 2026-09-14
Changed
- Capture and game-monitor workers now shut down as owned runtime trees. Application exit and
game process transitions cancel and join their background work deterministically instead of
leaving detached tasks behind; visible capture behaviour is unchanged.
Fixed
- Local Tauri builds now discover
libclangin versioned LLVM installations. This covers
distributions such as Gentoo wherelibclang.solives outside the dynamic loader's default
search path. - Release preflight checks now stay portable across packaging hosts. Platform-specific tools
run only on their target OS, and unavailable optional package inspectors are reported without
aborting artifact builds.
Full Changelog: v0.9.0...v0.9.1
TennoScope v0.9.0
[0.9.0] - 2026-09-13
Added
- The Ducat Kiosk now shows each Prime part's live platinum value before you sell it. A
click-through overlay follows the kiosk grid while it scrolls, mirrors checked items and stack
quantities in a basket, and keeps a running platinum total. Recognition stays local and
fail-closed: unreadable frames fade the prices instead of attaching them to the wrong items.
Fixed
- TennoScope now starts reliably on proprietary NVIDIA Linux drivers. When the primary GPU
needs WebKitGTK's safer non-DMABUF renderer, startup applies it automatically without overriding
an explicit user setting. This fixes the blank window and GBM buffer allocation failure reported
in issue #9 while leaving AMD, Intel and Nouveau systems unchanged.

TennoScope v0.8.0
[0.8.0] - 2026-09-10
Added
-
Native-Wayland Warframe now has automatic, prompt-free capture where the compositor supports
it. Linux still takes an X11/XWayland game window first; when Warframe runs with
PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1, capture tries wlroots screencopy, then KWin ScreenShot2, then an
already-authorized portal ScreenCast session. Gameplay never opens a desktop chooser. In that
release, first run recorded only the read-only access disclosure; portal permission was granted
separately from Settings when that fallback was needed. Installed deb, rpm, Arch and Gentoo
packages can use KDE's silent ScreenShot2 path. AppImages cannot receive that KWin authorization
and use the portal fallback instead. -
The masthead is the window's titlebar. The main window runs with the compositor's own
decorations off, so on a desktop where nobody knows the window-management keys (KDE most of
all) there was nothing to grab to move it and no buttons to minimize, maximize or close it.
The masthead now carries Tauri's deep drag region, making the whole bar a grab handle while
every control standing on it stays clickable, and a quiet group of three square marks
(minimize, maximize/restore, close) takes its right edge, drawn in the page-mark grammar and
taking the caution colour only under the pointer of close. The maximize control names itself
by its next action and follows the real window state, so snapping from the keyboard keeps it
honest.
Changed
- Prime items now live in Prime Parts instead of being split across Prime Parts and
Blueprints. Prime recipe holdings resolve to their canonical catalog identity, so component
names, artwork, categories, market prices and ducat values stay together. Ordinary crafting
recipes remain under Blueprints, and a Prime item whose catalog data genuinely has no ducat
value now says it is unavailable instead of leaving a blank price.
Fixed
-
Wayland sessions no longer dim the desktop when a fissure starts. Reward polling could replay
a ScreenCast restore token after the game opened; desktop portals may ignore a stale token and
launch their interactive monitor picker, which dims the desktop and startsslurpon wlroots.
Gameplay capture can no longer negotiate with the portal. It uses an already-live session only
after X11/XWayland, wlroots screencopy and KWin ScreenShot2 are unavailable; otherwise polling
reports a capture error without opening a chooser. -
XWayland reward capture no longer reads blank or unrelated pixels on Wayland desktops. The
game window is still discovered through X11, but its own drawable now supplies the frame instead
of sending monitor capture through a desktop portal whose coordinates may not match that window.
This restores reward OCR on Sway/XWayland and addresses the same coordinate mismatch reported on
KDE Plasma in issue #7. -
The AppImage launches its bundled TennoScope binary again. The native-package desktop
template names/usr/bin/tennoscopeso KDE can authorize installed packages for ScreenShot2,
but that path was copied into the portable image too. On systems without another TennoScope
installation, AppRun exited immediately with “No such file or directory.” AppImage
post-processing now restores its PATH-resolvedtennoscopecommand while leaving deb, rpm,
Arch and Gentoo launch identity unchanged. -
Windows CI and installer builds accept the native-Wayland capture changes. Linux-only X11
imports, retry tests and drawable-selection helpers no longer reach Windows builds, so all
release artifacts can be produced from the same commit.
