DELPHI PROJECT HANDOFF 0.8.0.17 EXPERIMENTAL BETA
23 October 2026

This release refreshes the Windows and editable-source packages with the
project corrections made after 0.8.0.16. It is intended for developer
evaluation; keep the extracted package together and test findings against
the selected application's source and actual behavior.

WHAT CHANGED

  • RAD Studio now writes and runs the application from the configured
bin<platform><configuration> folder. Debug and Release targets use the
    matching output path.
  • Backup and restore dialogs are owned by the main form in the visual
designer. Startup no longer changes their folder properties while the
form is being created, avoiding the observed access violation.
  • The Windows application resource and project icon/logo settings use the
supplied artwork. The main form remains editable in RAD Studio.
  • Both Windows editions and the source distribution now include these
corrections. The 0.8.0.16 packages remain available as historical builds.

CONTINUING BEHAVIOR

The 35 offline interface language packs and the context-sensitive button
translations introduced in 0.8.0.16 are retained. Project source files and
documents remain local and in their original language. DPH reads a selected
application's project, source, forms, and eligible documents; it does not
compile, run, or modify that application.

PACKAGE USE

For the Windows ZIP, extract the entire archive. Run the Win64 or Win32
DelphiProjectHandoff.exe with WebView2Loader.dll beside it and that edition's
Localization\Languages folder in place. Microsoft WebView2 Runtime is needed
for embedded pages. For the editable-source ZIP, read
docs\guides\Run_And_Test.txt and install the supplied translation design
package before opening the main form in RAD Studio 37.
