qcode v0.9

qcode v0.9 adds browser-based remote control while retaining the terminal-first workflow.

Highlights

  • Added a shared control plane for the TUI and remote clients, including replayable events, shared sessions and queues, and coordinated interaction handling.
  • Added Pure Web and Tailscale remote modes with QR login links, one-time expiring authorization, browser sessions, and connection management.
  • Added a responsive remote web UI with agent, model, tool, skill, resume, and thinking-level selectors, plus waiting and cancel controls.
  • Improved remote URL handling, LAN interface selection, status colors, verbose connection diagnostics, and Tailscale setup guidance.
  • Added one-shot recovery guidance for transient tool-call failures.

Install

Download the archive matching your platform, extract qcode (qcode.exe on Windows), and place it somewhere on your PATH.

tar -xzf qcode_linux_amd64.tar.gz
./qcode --version

Use SHA256SUMS to verify downloaded archives:

sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS

Standalone platform binaries are also included for the qcode update command.
