DepoAudio v1.0.2 is a repair release for packaged desktop startup.
Important: v1.0.1 is superseded and should not be installed. Its published Windows app could exit during Tauri setup before the first window opened when signed updater configuration was absent. Install v1.0.2 instead.
Fixed
- DepoAudio now registers the updater only when a complete signed-updater configuration is present. Packaged builds without updater credentials open normally, with in-app updating disabled.
- Release validation now launches the executable extracted from the generated Windows MSI and the generated macOS app bundle. Both packaged applications passed their startup smoke checks for this release. The NSIS setup wrapper was built but was not independently installed by this automated gate.
- Update-status copy now explains when automatic update checking is unavailable and directs people to GitHub Releases.
Capability scope
v1.0.2 changes startup and release validation only; it does not add new conversion, cleanup, player, library, or format capabilities. The v1.0.1 capability baseline remains: the synced transcript editor is available; FTR/TRM and DigitalCAT support remain experimental; Merge remains hidden and unsupported; DeepFilterNet remains inactive; speaker activity estimates do not identify people.
Platforms and installation
- macOS 13.3 or later: universal for Apple Silicon and Intel. The app is ad-hoc signed and not notarized.
- Windows 10 or 11: x64 only, with MSI and setup EXE installers. Direct inspection found that both installers are not Authenticode signed.
- Updates: this release does not include signed updater artifacts (
latest.jsonor updater signatures). Download future versions from GitHub Releases.
Recordings, conversion, analysis, playback, and cleanup stay on the device. Optional model downloads may contact GitHub, but audio is not uploaded. No account or subscription is required.
