Silberkorn 0.2.0 – ein quelloffener KI-Bild- und Fotoverbesserer, der vollständig auf der NVIDIA-Grafikkarte rechnet.

• Für Veröffentlichung speichern: Bilder fürs Netz in einem Schritt. Verkleinert auf eine längste Kante (1280, 1920, 2560 Pixel oder eigener Wert) oder einen Prozentsatz, nie vergrößert. Ein sichtbares Wasserzeichen aus Text und/oder Logo, in einer Ecke, in der Mitte oder als Muster über das ganze Bild. Urheber, Copyright und Webadresse kommen in die Datei, auf Wunsch auch ein maschinenlesbarer Vorbehalt gegen KI-Training und Data-Mining (IPTC; Suchmaschinen bleiben erlaubt). GPS-Position und Seriennummern fallen immer weg, die übrigen Kameradaten auf Wunsch. Von der KI erfundene Bildteile werden vermerkt. Mit Vorschau; die Einstellungen bleiben als Vorlage erhalten.

  Save for publishing: images for the web in one step. Downsized to a longest edge (1280, 1920, 2560 pixels or a custom value) or a percentage, never enlarged. A visible watermark from text and/or a logo, in a corner, in the centre or as a pattern across the whole image. Creator, copyright and web address go into the file, and on request a machine-readable reservation against AI training and data mining (IPTC; search engines stay allowed). GPS position and serial numbers are always removed, the other camera data on request. Image parts invented by AI are noted. With preview; the settings are kept as a template.

• Das Fenster startet breiter und wird nicht schmaler, als die Knöpfe der Werkzeugleiste es verlangen – ihre Beschriftungen wurden in der Standardgröße abgeschnitten.

  The window starts wider and does not get narrower than the toolbar buttons need – their labels were cut off at the default size.

Aktualisieren von 0.1.x: Im alten Programmordner Silberkorn.exe und den Ordner _internal löschen, dann das neue ZIP dorthin entpacken. Die Ordner modelle und nvidia sowie die Einstellungen in silberkorn.json bleiben erhalten – nichts muss neu geladen werden.

Updating from 0.1.x: in the old program folder delete Silberkorn.exe and the _internal folder, then unpack the new ZIP there. The modelle and nvidia folders and the settings in silberkorn.json are kept – nothing needs to be downloaded again.

Windows SmartScreen

Die EXE ist nicht digital signiert. Windows zeigt deshalb beim ersten Start „Der Computer wurde durch Windows geschützt“. Über Weitere Informationen → Trotzdem ausführen startet das Programm. Wer sichergehen will, vergleicht vorher die Prüfsumme oben oder baut die EXE mit build.cmd selbst.

The EXE is not digitally signed, so Windows shows "Windows protected your PC" on first start. Click More info → Run anyway. To be sure, compare the checksum above first or build the EXE yourself with build.cmd.

Erster Start / First start

Die EXE bringt CUDA und cuDNN nicht mit, weil NVIDIAs Lizenzen die Weitergabe zusammen mit Silberkorn nicht erlauben. Beim ersten Start fragt das Programm nach, nennt Quelle, Größe und NVIDIAs Lizenzbedingungen und lädt nach Zustimmung einmalig NVIDIAs offizielle Pakete von pypi.org – 1,6 GB, ausgepackt rund 2,3 GB im Ordner nvidia neben der EXE. Jede Datei wird gegen ihre Prüfsumme geprüft.

The EXE does not include CUDA and cuDNN, because NVIDIA's licences do not allow redistributing them with Silberkorn. On first start the program asks, names source, size and NVIDIA's licence terms, and after consent downloads NVIDIA's official packages from pypi.org once – 1.6 GB, about 2.3 GB unpacked in the nvidia folder next to the EXE. Every file is checked against its checksum.

Beim ersten Bewegen eines Reglers scheint das Programm einige Sekunden zu hängen: Die Grafikkarte übersetzt dann einmalig die Filterprogramme. Danach reagieren alle Regler flüssig, und spätere Starts gehen deutlich schneller.

The first time you move a slider, the program seems to hang for a few seconds: the graphics card compiles the filter programs once. After that all sliders respond smoothly, and later starts are much faster.

Die KI-Modelle gehören nicht zum Programm; jede Karte lädt ihr Modell erst nach Klick und Rückfrage aus den Releases modelle-1 bis modelle-8.

The AI models are not part of the program; each card downloads its model only after a click and confirmation from the releases modelle-1 to modelle-8.
