Silberkorn 0.6.0 – ein quelloffener KI-Bild- und Fotoverbesserer, der vollständig auf der NVIDIA-Grafikkarte rechnet.

• Rückgängig und Wiederholen: ↶ ↷ neben „Zurücksetzen“ oder Strg+Z / Strg+Y nehmen jeden Schritt zurück – Regler, Kurven, Zuschnitt, Metadaten und auch KI-Schritte wie Entrauschen, ein entferntes Objekt oder eine Erweiterung. Selbst „Zurücksetzen“ lässt sich zurücknehmen. Ein Zug am Regler ist ein Schritt; der Tooltip nennt, was zurückgenommen wird.

  Undo and redo: ↶ ↷ next to "Reset" or Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y undo every step – sliders, curves, crop, metadata and also AI steps such as denoising, a removed object or an extension. Even "Reset" can be undone. One drag of a slider is one step; the tooltip says what will be undone.

• Drucken: 🖶 oder Strg+P öffnet einen Dialog mit Drucker, Papier und Bildgröße – Seite füllen, 9 × 13 bis 20 × 30 cm oder eine eigene Größe, mit Rand oder randlos – und einer Vorschau auf dem Blatt. Ohne Angabe wählt er 10 × 15 cm, wenn der Drucker es kennt. Ist die Auflösung auf dem Papier knapp, lässt sich das Bild vorher mit KI vergrößern. Gedruckt wird das bearbeitete Bild in voller Auflösung.

  Print: 🖶 or Ctrl+P opens a dialog with printer, paper and image size – fill the page, 9 × 13 to 20 × 30 cm or a custom size, with a margin or borderless – and a preview of the sheet. By default it picks 10 × 15 cm if the printer knows it. If the resolution on paper is low, the image can be enlarged with AI first. The edited image is printed at full resolution.

Geändert und behoben / Changed and fixed

• „Speichern unter …“ heißt jetzt „Speichern …“, und die Zoomstufe steht beim Zoomen oben rechts im Bild – so passt das Fenster weiter auf 1366 × 768 Pixel bei 125 % Skalierung.

  "Save as …" is now "Save …", and the zoom level is shown at the top right of the image while zoomed – so the window still fits on 1366 × 768 pixels at 125 % scaling.

• Stand KI-Entrauschen auf 100 %, schrieb die Vorschau entfernte Objekte in das entrauschte Bild hinein – „Vorher“ zeigte sie dann nicht mehr.

  With AI denoising at 100 %, the preview wrote removed objects into the denoised image – "Before" then no longer showed them.

Aktualisieren von 0.1.x bis 0.5.0: Im alten Programmordner Silberkorn.exe und den Ordner _internal löschen, dann das neue ZIP dorthin entpacken. Die Ordner modelle und nvidia sowie die Einstellungen in silberkorn.json bleiben erhalten – nichts muss neu geladen werden.

Updating from 0.1.x to 0.5.0: in the old program folder delete Silberkorn.exe and the _internal folder, then unpack the new ZIP there. The modelle and nvidia folders and the settings in silberkorn.json are kept – nothing needs to be downloaded again.

Windows SmartScreen

Die EXE ist nicht digital signiert. Windows zeigt deshalb beim ersten Start „Der Computer wurde durch Windows geschützt“. Über Weitere Informationen → Trotzdem ausführen startet das Programm. Wer sichergehen will, vergleicht vorher die Prüfsumme oben oder baut die EXE mit build.cmd selbst.

The EXE is not digitally signed, so Windows shows "Windows protected your PC" on first start. Click More info → Run anyway. To be sure, compare the checksum above first or build the EXE yourself with build.cmd.

Erster Start / First start

Die EXE bringt CUDA und cuDNN nicht mit, weil NVIDIAs Lizenzen die Weitergabe zusammen mit Silberkorn nicht erlauben. Beim ersten Start fragt das Programm nach, nennt Quelle, Größe und NVIDIAs Lizenzbedingungen und lädt nach Zustimmung einmalig NVIDIAs offizielle Pakete von pypi.org – 1,6 GB, ausgepackt rund 2,3 GB im Ordner nvidia neben der EXE. Jede Datei wird gegen ihre Prüfsumme geprüft.

The EXE does not include CUDA and cuDNN, because NVIDIA's licences do not allow redistributing them with Silberkorn. On first start the program asks, names source, size and NVIDIA's licence terms, and after consent downloads NVIDIA's official packages from pypi.org once – 1.6 GB, about 2.3 GB unpacked in the nvidia folder next to the EXE. Every file is checked against its checksum.

Beim ersten Bewegen eines Reglers scheint das Programm einige Sekunden zu hängen: Die Grafikkarte übersetzt dann einmalig die Filterprogramme. Danach reagieren alle Regler flüssig, und spätere Starts gehen deutlich schneller.

The first time you move a slider, the program seems to hang for a few seconds: the graphics card compiles the filter programs once. After that all sliders respond smoothly, and later starts are much faster.

Die KI-Modelle gehören nicht zum Programm; jede Karte lädt ihr Modell erst nach Klick und Rückfrage aus den Releases modelle-1 bis modelle-9. Ebenso die Objektivdatenbank: Sie kommt nach Klick und Rückfrage vom lensfun-Projekt.

The AI models are not part of the program; each card downloads its model only after a click and confirmation from the releases modelle-1 to modelle-9. The same goes for the lens database: it comes from the lensfun project after a click and confirmation.
