Using the application

Products and barcodes

A product contains a name, brand, packaging information, current stock, minimum stock, target stock, price, and currency. Multiple EAN/barcodes can point to the same product.

Each barcode can represent:

• A single drink
• A multipack quantity
• An add-to-stock action
• A remove-from-stock action

The barcode form can look up product details through Open Food Facts or accept manual data.

Prices and currencies

Prices can be entered while stocking drinks. The unit price and currency are stored with each booking so historical financial statistics remain meaningful after a product price changes.

Currencies are reported separately. The application does not invent exchange rates or combine incompatible currencies into one total.

Statistics

The statistics page includes:

• Consumption totals for common periods
• Consumption ranking per product
• Daily consumption
• Inventory, purchase, and consumption value per currency
• Per-product consumption forecast

Forecasts use up to the last 30 days and require at least seven days of history. Days without consumption are included. Empty products, no recent consumption, and insufficient history are shown as separate states.

Minimum and target stock

Minimum stock controls low-stock behavior and Home Assistant synchronization. Target stock describes the desired refill level.

Cancelling scanner bookings

Scanner transactions can be cancelled using the configured STORNO_PASSWORT. The application prevents a cancellation when it would create invalid negative stock.
