v0.7.0-beta.2
Pre-release
Pre-release
[0.7.0-beta.2] — 2026-07-03
Pre-release, continuing the same 0.7.0 beta cycle — see the note under
[0.7.0-beta.1] below for what that means. Bug fixes found while dogfooding
beta.1 against a real dashboard (a button card, whose entity has no
on/off state of its own).
Fixed
- Icon Color and Accent Color couldn't be set to "Different for ON/OFF"
at all on cards whose own entity has no on/off state (e.g. abutton
card) — the mode dropdown was hidden outright, so there was no way to
reach the "controlled by a different entity" optionbeta.1had just
added, even though binding to a different, toggleable entity would
have worked fine. Both modules now always offer the conditional mode;
when the card's own entity genuinely has no on/off state and no other
entity has been picked yet, an inline warning explains why (rather than
the mode silently doing nothing). - Accent Color had no conditional/entity-binding option at all — it was
static-color-only, unlike every other conditional module. It's now on
equal footing with Icon Color: a mode switch (one fixed color / different
for ON-OFF), on/off colors, and a "Controlled by" entity picker. - The
--accent-colorCSS-variable name and its explanatory paragraph
were shown in the Accent Color panel (Color (--accent-color), "Sets
--accent-coloron ha-card…") — no other module exposes its underlying
CSS variable name this way, and it wasn't adding anything a user editing
visually needs; removed. (Anyone who wants to see the generated CSS
already has the code editor for that.)
Verified
- Reproduced the exact reported scenario live against HA's real card-edit
dialog (not a synthetic mount) — abuttoncard, entity with no on/off
state, both modules' "Controlled by" picker fully on-screen at 900px
width, picking a different entity reaching the emittedcard_mod.style.
