Atomic Notes v1.12.1

Local-first notes for Android. Your notes save on your device first, sync to the cloud only when you choose, and are never used for ads, tracking, or AI training. This is an early public build: it works across the core flows, and it's honest about what isn't finished yet (see Security below).

Which APK should I download?

Pick the one that matches your phone. If you're not sure, choose arm64-v8a. It fits almost every phone from the last several years.

File For
app-arm64-v8a-release.apk Most modern phones (64-bit ARM). Start here if unsure.
app-armeabi-v7a-release.apk Older 32-bit ARM devices.
app-x86_64-release.apk 64-bit x86 devices and most Android emulators.
Installed the wrong one? Android will refuse it or it won't open. Just uninstall and grab arm64-v8a.

Install

Atomic Notes isn't on the Play Store, so you install the APK directly:

  1. Download the APK for your device from Assets below.
  2. Open it. Android will ask whether to allow installs from this source. Approve it for your browser or file manager.
  3. Install, then open Atomic Notes.
    Requires Android 6.0 (Marshmallow, API 23) or newer.

What's inside

  • Text notes and checklists as one object type, saved on-device instantly.
  • Optional per-note cloud sync, in realtime across your devices.
  • Pin, filter (Newest / Oldest / To-dos / Notes), and multi-select with bulk delete.
  • Optional biometric app lock.
  • A Database screen showing on-device versus cloud note counts.
  • No analytics, no ad SDKs, no third-party trackers, and no AI.

Security, stated plainly

Your notes are protected in transit by HTTPS and at rest by row-level access control. They are not yet end-to-end encrypted, so please don't store passwords or other high-risk secrets in this build.
