Background Swapper 0.2.0 gives the interface its own opacity controls, and lets
you keep the balance you land on.
What's new
Three sliders instead of one. The old Element opacity faded every surface
at once, so seeing the photo well and keeping the interface readable pulled
against each other. Now:
- Background opacity fades the ground the app frame paints — lower it and the
photo fills the open page. - Element opacity fades the cards, inputs and menus raised over that ground,
so the text on them stays readable. - Sidebar opacity fades the left column on its own, so the navigation can stay
solid while the panels go glassy.
They ship at 20% for the ground and 85% for the panels and the sidebar, and each
has its own Reset.
Looks you can save. Appearance opens with Wallpaper, Glass and
Solid, and Save current keeps whatever the sliders are on under a name of
your own. A saved look sits in the row beside the shipped ones, loads in one
click, and carries a small cross to remove it. A look holds the three opacities
and nothing else, so loading one never undoes your Tint or Blur.
Upgrading
Your photos, your settings and your saved looks are untouched. An index written
by 0.1.0 reads back exactly as it looked: its single opacity becomes the element
alpha, and the sidebar inherits the value that governed it.
Fixes
- The primary Save button no longer takes its label from a token the opacity
sliders fade, so it stays readable at the low background opacities the sliders
exist to reach. PATCH /statenow refuses a field it does not know instead of ignoring it. The
two halves of the plugin load separately, so a browser half a version ahead used
to have its write answered200and dropped — which is how a saved look could
be lost.
