MCX360 Edition 1.1
MCX360 Edition 1.1
New
- On-screen touch controls, using the layout from the XeniOS emulator. They show when no controller is connected and hide when one connects. Adjust them with
touch_controls,touch_controls_opacityandtouch_hapticsinmc360.toml. - Save thumbnails: your worlds now show a picture in the world list.
- Exit Game now closes the app instead of leaving a black screen.
Performance
- Much lower CPU load while playing. The game's threads no longer queue up on a shared lock, calls inside the game run directly, and waits end as soon as the GPU is ready instead of sleeping in whole milliseconds.
- Frame rate capped at a steady, evenly paced 60 FPS (
framerate_limit, default 60). - The game's main thread and GPU thread now get priority on the iPhone's performance cores.
- Less heat: the game no longer spins a core at full power while waiting for the GPU, and no longer copies the whole screen image back and forth several times per frame.
Fixes
- Fixed random crashes after playing for a while.
- Fixed choppy audio.
- Fixed "ghost" blocks and old terrain showing where the world had changed.
- Devices with 3 GB of RAM now show an explanation at launch instead of crashing.
Known issues
- Long sessions heat the phone, and iOS then slows it down, so the frame rate can drop over time. Playing unplugged and without a case helps.
- The on-screen D-pad's up arrow sits over the first world's thumbnail in the Load menu. It's part of the controls, not the save.
- Devices with 3 GB of RAM (iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPad 8th gen) can't run the game with a normal sideload. They need TrollStore, or a signing method that grants the Extended Virtual Addressing entitlement.
Installing over 1.0 keeps your worlds and settings.
