NativePorts 0.3.0 — NBA Showtime and rendering fixes
NBA Showtime (PlayStation USA) joins the four existing ports. All five iOS apps and Windows executables are version 0.3.0.
Changes:
- SSF2T: fixed 512-column widescreen output prevents camera-dependent resizing. Unsupported stage edges are clipped inside the fixed canvas and filled with colored margins; scenery is not mirrored.
- Slam 'n Jam '96: extend the SLES-00076 game's crowd/court clipping checks, rather than only widening the GPU canvas. Original interior pixels and HUD are preserved. No coin prompts; Restart Game remains the console action.
- UMK3: extend solid background/gradient clears into the extra columns before drawing foreground scenery, fixing the rectangular gap reproduced in Scorpion's Lair.
- THPS2: keep the gameplay HUD in the centered original 4:3 area. Increase the normal follow-camera offset by 25% through a guarded boot-time instruction patch, verified on the USA executable. Black letterbox bars and CRT toggle are retained.
- NBA Showtime: supplied PlayStation USA BIN support, four-player multitap, Hangtime-style controls/UI, centered HUD and expanded gameplay canvas, CRT enabled by default with on/off controls.
- Include THPS2's Windows C++ runtime DLLs and version all five builds consistently.
Downloads:
- NativePorts-Windows-x64.zip: all five Windows games. Extract it and keep every DLL beside its EXE.
- Five unsigned IPAs: sign with your sideloading tool. Keep existing bundle identifiers to preserve app data.
- SHA256SUMS.txt: checksums for the downloadable builds.
Game files and signing credentials are not included. NBA Showtime needs the extracted raw PlayStation MODE2/2352 BIN named nbashowt.bin, not its archive or an arcade ROM.
Validation: all ten platform builds passed; Apple/SDL virtual-controller tests, shader compilation, texture-cache checks, rendering helper regressions and local gameplay captures passed. Local captures covered SSF2T camera limits, Slam court pans, UMK3 Scorpion's Lair, THPS2 Hangar, and NBA Showtime gameplay/toggle/HUD. This is not complete stage coverage or physical iPhone/Windows multiplayer validation. THPS2 iOS still uses the CPU interpreter; this release does not claim a verified frame-rate improvement. Some Slam camera angles can still reveal the finite arena's dark exterior.
