- battery_soc: support DC-only systems and current sensors in HA (#56) (776bfdc)
- battery_soc: define series banks as A+ to B- and accept a stack sensor (e3fd939)

- battery_soc_core: accept current (A) on DC slots, converted with the pack voltage (e2fd892)
- battery_soc_core: treat a DC-only side as the sole source, not an override (55f1c62)
Refactors
- split src/ into services/ and libs/, rename service-level device_id to service_id (#10) (75abe73)
v0.3.0-b2
Pre-release v0.3.0-b2 of the Battery SoC Home Assistant integration, built from energy-node feat/battery-soc-dc-core-ha (3bade04).
v0.3.0-b1
Pre-release for testing. Addresses #1 (DC-only systems / embedded devices).
⚠️ This version migrates your configuration entry to version 2. Going back to v0.2.9 afterwards requires removing and re-adding the integration. Take a Home Assistant backup first.
New
- System type as the first setup step: AC-coupled system or DC-only system. DC-only systems only show the DC inputs and hide the AC converter efficiencies and the DC-age timeout.
- Current inputs: DC inputs accept power (W, kW, mW) or current (A, mA). Current is converted with the pack voltage. The unit is read from the sensor.
- Invert switch on every power input: one signed sensor (e.g. an INA219 shunt) can go into both the charging and the discharging input, inverted in one of them.
- Bank layout as one choice: Single bank, Two banks in parallel, Two banks in series (A + B). Bank B has its own step and only appears with two banks.
- Field descriptions for every setup field, especially bank layout, cell count, capacity and voltage scale.
- The Configure dialog can now change the system type and the bank layout.
Changed
- kW and mW power sensors are now read in their unit (they were previously taken as W).
- Power readings without a unit, or with an unsupported one, are ignored and logged once as a warning.
- A side with only a DC sensor uses it as its sole source. It no longer falls back after the DC-age timeout.
- The AC fallback active entity only exists when one side has both an AC and a DC sensor. Entities that the configuration no longer provides are removed.
Install via HACS
Open the repository in HACS → ⋮ → Redownload → enable Show beta versions → select v0.3.0-b1, then restart Home Assistant.

v0.1.4
Build
- ha:
scripts/publish_mirror.sh --pushnow pushesmain+ the new tag to
the mirror remote and creates the GitHub Release (notes sliced from this
changelog). Without a Release, HACS ran the repo in commit mode and showed
bare commit SHAs instead of a version, with a dead "release announcement"
link.
Documentation
- ha: the HACS release runbook and
integrations/homeassistant/README.md
now state that the in-treecustom_components/battery_soc/brand/icons cover
the native Home Assistant UI and the hassfest/HACSbrandsvalidation, but
not the HACS store list or the HACS update-entity dialog — those read
brands.home-assistant.ioby domain and need ahome-assistant/brandsPR.
Added a concrete checklist for that PR.
