@Devinci297 Devinci297 released this 11 Oct 13:28

Boeing 2707-300 v0.16.2

  • Engine cowls can open with the flaps extended. Ground, parking-brake,
stationary-aircraft and engine-off safeguards still apply.
  • A parked tug and towbar appear before planning a pushback, when the aircraft
is stationary on the ground and the parking position is available.
  • The Takeoff preset removes ground vehicles and chocks, closes cowls, doors
and service panels, and resets ground-service visuals. Removed engines must
be reinstalled before using this preset.
  • The external GPU access door uses one exterior skin, eliminating overlapping
surfaces that caused the speckled texture.
  • Taxi-camera aircraft textures fall back to the default textures when a
livery does not supply an override.
  • Checklist uses the legacy window renderer and moves its window into the
    current screen bounds when opened.

The clean-install updater from v0.16.1 is retained. It prepares a complete
verified replacement, waits for X-Plane to exit, preserves personal data and
swaps aircraft folders, keeping the old version as a dated backup. Close
X-Plane when prompted and wait for completion before reopening it. Older
in-place installations receive first-start cleanup with retained backups.

The complete download includes Pan Am, BOAC Speedbird 1965 and TWA Trans World
1968. The v0.16.0 Edition 4 handbook and poster are retained.

Autoland is not guaranteed yet. Performance is not optimized yet.
Live simulator acceptance remains open. Intermittent ADI and gauge-marking
loading is not claimed fixed by this release.

Boeing 2707-300 v0.16.1

  • Future updates build a complete verified aircraft beside the installed folder,
carry over the latest personal data after X-Plane exits, and swap folders.
The old installation stays as a dated backup; a failed swap rolls back.
  • First-start cleanup repairs installations updated by older versions or by
extracting a ZIP over old files. Files absent from this release are moved to
Output/cleanup/0.16.1/retired, including obsolete livery texture overrides.
Nothing is deleted. Settings, saved states, compact-panel choice, X-Plane
preferences, added liveries and added plugins are preserved.
  • Development checkouts are excluded from automated updating and cleanup.

Close X-Plane when the updater prompts, then wait for the update-complete message before
reopening it. First-start cleanup may request an aircraft reload. Files held
open are retried on the next start; the updater reports the backup location.

Autoland is not guaranteed yet. Performance is not optimized yet.
Live updater and simulator acceptance remain open. This maintenance release
retains the v0.16.0 Edition 4 handbook and poster.

Boeing 2707-300 v0.16.0

@Devinci297 Devinci297 released this 10 Oct 23:31

Boeing 2707-300 v0.16.0

Autoland is not guaranteed yet. Performance is not optimized yet.

This is a large update: a rebuilt wing, tail, aft body and droop nose, a new autopilot panel, the custom GE4 engine model, and a round of autoland fixes. Nothing here has passed live in-simulator acceptance. Monitor the aircraft and be ready to take manual control.

Changes

  • Wing, tail and aft body rebuilt to a CAD-grade model with documented flap and slat mechanisms. Trailing-edge flaps follow the documented UP / 6 / 15 / 20 schedule; leading-edge slats sit at one uniform 50 degrees; the flaperons droop with the flaps (5 degrees at full flap, a simulation choice, A-FCTL-003). Canoe flap-track fairings with a telescoping sleeve.
  • Droop nose rebuilt: 20 degrees of droop about a forward hinge, with a seal all round and a lined forward interior; final nose shape from the owner's hand edit. New cockpit escape hatch that opens and closes from a click, with placards. Windshield rain and wipers revised.
  • Fuselage: the GPU, ASU, potable-water and lavatory service bays are cut flush into the skin; the water and lavatory panels are labelled and clickable. The R3 over-wing exit door is 0.16 m taller.
  • SPZ-1 autopilot remake: three autopilots (A, B, C) with CMD / CWS / OFF selection, working CWS, F/D - A/P - A/T annunciators and rolling drum counters.
  • Custom GE4 engine model is the only engine model.
  • Autoland: the flare and retard were retuned for the new wing (A-AFCS-030). A short localizer or glideslope flag dropout no longer fails the approach, the F preset now engages all three autopilots (LAND 3), and the autothrottle releases at idle on the runway (A-AFCS-031).
  • Glideslope capture fixes (A-AFCS-032): a false-lobe guard refuses capture on false glideslope nulls, the F-preset and mission crews intercept from above the beam, and the F start speed is corrected for headwind. These address approaches that failed to capture the glideslope in wind and on some computers.
  • Ground services: exterior service-panel and pod click spots restored. The rear baggage train drives through forward and the forward container train arrives forward; the L2 door stays closed for services, presets and saved-state restore; no passenger stairs are placed when docked at an openSAM jetway; the L1 stairs dock on the door centre.
  • Cockpit and cabin: autopilot hover help on the AFCS paddles, 2D step selectors clamp like the 3D ones, a compact side dock, and the AviTab screen no longer shows a stray strip of another cockpit image; flight engineer station fit and handle fixes; cabin CRT screens, jump-seat buckles, attendant handsets, carpet gaps; one reading light per passenger seat.
  • Liveries recomposed with a new pipeline: straight paint lines with a smooth aft rise, level belly lines, a red nose-gear-door line and own underwing registrations.
  • Complete Handbook Edition 4 for v0.16.0, and a flight-deck poster with the front panel (SPZ-1 autopilot) and pedestal re-rendered; the other poster sections are unchanged from v0.15.2.
  • Retains the v0.15.4 approach handoff correction and radio diagnostics.

Updating

Open Dispatch > About & Updates and check for updates. Install v0.16.0, then fully restart X-Plane to load the new plugin. Saved user settings are retained. The complete aircraft ZIP is available for a fresh installation.

Direct downloads

The other ZIPs in Assets are the in-aircraft updater's packages. SHA-256 checksums cover every download. The optional all-liveries pack offered with v0.15.4 is not offered with this release: the other liveries have not been updated for the new fuselage and wing.

Validation and limitations

Offline tests and matching hashes do not establish live simulator acceptance. Every subsystem's live in-simulator gate remains open, including the wing, tail, nose, flaperon droop, SPZ-1 panel, custom engine, autoland changes and the ground equipment. Cross-computer approach and mission validation remain open; the glideslope fixes are believed to address the failures seen on some computers, but their traces have not been reviewed.

Autoland is not guaranteed yet, and performance is not optimized yet. The existing handbook qualification limits continue to apply.

@Devinci297 Devinci297 released this 28 Sep 04:36

Devinci Boeing 2707-300 for X-Plane 12 — v0.15.4

Explore an in-development reconstruction of the Boeing 2707-300 supersonic transport, with a 3D flight deck, detailed aircraft systems, virtual crew assistance and an integrated Dispatch interface for aircraft setup and ground operations.

This is a work-in-progress release. Autoland is not guaranteed yet. Performance is not optimized yet. Approach and mission startup failures reported on some computers are still being investigated. Please read the limitations below before flying.

Downloads

Download What it contains
Complete aircraft v0.15.4 The full aircraft, plugin, recorded crew voices, documentation and the three standard liveries: Pan Am, BOAC Speedbird 1965 and TWA Trans World 1968. Start here for a fresh installation.
All-liveries pack The complete collection of 32 liveries and paint variants, including the three standard liveries. Optional; the main aircraft always includes its standard three.
Complete manual — Edition 3, PDF Installation, first flight, checklists, aircraft systems, Dispatch, crew assistance and illustrated engine/maintenance guidance. This is the existing Edition 3 manual; its filename retains the edition's original version.
Flight deck and engine poster — PNG A high-resolution reference for the cockpit and engine illustrations. Download directly without installing the aircraft.

The manual and poster are also included in the complete aircraft ZIP. The remaining component ZIPs in Assets are used by the in-aircraft updater; you do not need to download each one manually for a fresh installation. SHA-256 checksums cover the downloads.

Requirements

  • X-Plane 12 on 64-bit Windows. This download contains the Windows plugin; macOS and Linux binaries are not included.
  • Developed with X-Plane 12.4.4 beta. Compatibility across simulator versions, computers and third-party plugins is still being verified.
  • Keep the aircraft plugin, its configuration and recorded voice assets together. Crew voice playback requires no Python installation, voice-generation account or API key.

Fresh installation

  1. Download the Complete aircraft v0.15.4 ZIP above.
  2. Close X-Plane. If upgrading an existing installation manually, back up the aircraft folder, custom liveries and saved flights first.
  3. Extract the Devinci_B2707_300 folder into your X-Plane 12/Aircraft/ directory. Use a clean aircraft folder rather than mixing old and new plugin files.
  4. Check the folder layout: the aircraft file should be at X-Plane 12/Aircraft/Devinci_B2707_300/b2707_300.acf, with plugins/b2707 inside that same aircraft folder. Avoid an extra nested Devinci_B2707_300 directory.
  5. Start X-Plane and select the Boeing 2707-300. Open DISP at the top of the sidebar for Dispatch. Begin with the manual's installation and first-flight guidance before attempting advanced operations.

Installing the optional livery pack

Extract the livery-pack ZIP into your existing Devinci_B2707_300 aircraft folder, allowing its liveries folder to merge with the aircraft's liveries folder. The result should look like Devinci_B2707_300/liveries/Air France - Seahorse 1968/. Back up customized copies before replacing matching livery files.

The pack includes Aer Lingus, Aeronaves de Mexico, Air Canada, Air France, Air India, Airlift International, Alitalia, American, BOAC, Braniff, Continental, CP Air, Delta, Eastern, El Al, Iberia, Japan Air Lines, KLM, Lufthansa, Northwest Orient, Pan Am and its enhanced variant, PAN-AFRICAN, Panagra, PIA, Qantas, Trans-American, TWA, United, World Airways and two white paint variants. The ZIP includes the full folder list and installation instructions.

Updating an existing installation

Open Dispatch → About & Updates, check for updates and install v0.15.4. The updater retains saved user settings and saved flights. Fully restart X-Plane afterward to load the new plugin; reloading an aircraft alone is not the recommended update procedure.

The optional all-liveries pack is a separate download. The full aircraft and its normal updater packages continue to include the three standard liveries.

Included aircraft features

  • A 3D flight deck with supporting 2D panels and engineering displays.
  • Electrical, hydraulic, fuel, propulsion, environmental and airframe system simulations.
  • Dispatch controls for payload, fuel, ground services, presets and aircraft setup.
  • Recorded crew voices, crew assistance, practice approaches and mission tools.
  • Illustrated documentation, engine and maintenance views, and an in-aircraft update interface.

Features remain under development; inclusion does not imply full simulator qualification.

Changes in v0.15.4

  • Corrects an approach handoff path where an already-selected LAND or ILS mode could bypass readiness checks and leave an automatic practice approach in its startup PITCH mode. The waiting-mode protection now runs before setup can be treated as complete.
  • Adds native radio readback details to approach and mission status messages to help diagnose the failures seen on some computers.
  • Adds the separate all-liveries pack and direct manual/poster downloads.
  • Retains the crew voice, bundled mission route, warning-audio and taxi-camera changes from v0.15.3.

Current limitations

  • Autoland is not guaranteed yet. Approach capture, automatic landing and mission startup can still fail on some computers. The v0.15.4 correction is not a claim that all reported cases are resolved. Monitor guidance and be ready to take manual control.
  • Performance is not optimized yet. Frame rate, loading time and responsiveness can vary with hardware, scenery and other plugins.
  • The flight envelope is not validated above Mach 1. Supersonic performance and fuel planning are reconstructions. Mach 2.7 descent, top-of-descent behavior and complete-route arrival validation remain open.
  • Autoland does not provide a qualified automatic go-around and does not command reverse thrust. Release crew control before manual intervention.
  • Some instrument indications and system behaviors remain incomplete. Third-party plugin compatibility and live acceptance across computers are still being tested. Consult the manual's known-limitations section for further detail.

This is an independent simulation project, for simulator use only. Its documentation is not an approved Boeing operating manual.

Feedback and troubleshooting

Please report problems in the Boeing 2707 project discussion. Include the aircraft and X-Plane versions, airport/runway, selected preset or mission, weather and aircraft weight, what you expected, and what happened. Attach a fresh X-Plane Log.txt, relevant aircraft logs and a screenshot of the status message when possible. For approach issues, include the Approach status and last-landing report if one was recorded.

Release verification

All 35 selected Release test suites passed. The installed plugin and packaged downloads are checked against their hashes before publication. These checks are separate from live simulator acceptance; cross-computer operational validation remains open.

Build and download verification

All 11,422 packaged aircraft files, 12 updater packages, the standalone extras and all asset checksums were verified.

@Devinci297 Devinci297 released this 28 Sep 01:00

Boeing 2707-300 v0.15.3

Crew, warning audio, taxi camera and portable mission setup fixes.

  • Recorded crew voices display Ryan, Lessac, Amy, Kristin, David, Zira, Marcus and Thomas. Saved voice choices, volumes and portraits are preserved.
  • New aircraft runtimes start virtual crew roles in ASSIST. Selecting OFF or taking control still releases the corresponding assistance.
  • Voice Test previews the selected person immediately instead of waiting behind mission dialogue. Pending mission dialogue resumes afterward.
  • Automatic practice approaches select ALT HOLD while waiting for valid dual ILS reception, instead of remaining in the seeded PITCH mode. The Approach status now identifies the specific radio readiness gate.
  • Takeoff NAV preparation timeouts report radio power, freshness, pending commands and actual/target tuning.
  • The GOBD-SBGL route is bundled with the plugin, so a fresh installation does not depend on the developer's Output folder.
  • EADI rendering restores required blend state and retains an opaque background while dimmed.
  • Includes the current tested autoland flare/rollout refinements.
  • Generic master warnings now use a nonverbal horn. Ground-power supply warnings no longer incorrectly say "landing gear" when the gear is down. Preset control inventory, ground transitions and warning playback are regression checked.

The taxi-camera compositor now preserves opaque coverage and establishes its
colour/blend state. Slow capture updates retain the last picture with a visible
FRAME HELD label instead of clearing it to black. Other-PC visual acceptance
remains open.

Updating

In v0.15.2, open Dispatch > About & Updates and check for updates. Install v0.15.3, then fully restart X-Plane before testing. Saved user settings are retained. The complete aircraft ZIP is also available for a fresh installation; the smaller package ZIPs are consumed by the updater.

Validation

The release is built and checked with the supported Release workflow. Exact test, installation, package and publication receipts are recorded in FlightTests/20260927_release_0153 in the source repository. Offline tests and verified download hashes do not establish live simulator acceptance. Report the new Approach status if ILS arming still waits on the other computer. No audio device or playback-format change is included.

The Edition 3 handbook remains included. Existing simulator qualification limits remain in force; see the handbook and welcome panel.

Download Devinci_B2707_300_v0.15.3.zip for a complete installation. The other ZIPs are the 12 updater packages. All 11,422 packaged files and all asset checksums were verified.

@Devinci297 Devinci297 released this 27 Sep 22:25

Boeing 2707-300 v0.15.2 - combined aircraft and servicing update

27 September 2026. X-Plane 12, Windows 64-bit.

  • Baggage trains now follow smooth apron slopes instead of disappearing behind
a latched terrain fault. Cargo still waits for the loader, train and door to
be ready; uneven or invalid ground continues to block service.

  • The combined runtime includes autoland flare and runway handling refinements,
departure and autosave repairs, compact servicing cards, and the matching
    aircraft audio update.

  • Exterior light glass, lens fit, wheel-well lamp casing normals and passenger
door detail repairs are included in the current aircraft assets.

  • Edition 3 of the Complete Aircraft Handbook adds the four propulsion pages,
model-derived engine schematics, a 3D engine cutaway and illustrated maintenance
guidance. It explains carrier approach direction, exhaust withdrawal, linked
lower-cowl motion and the engineer's nozzle and spike indications.

  • The flight-deck poster gains refreshed cockpit views and a dedicated GE4
    engine section. Its cockpit panels retain their common scale;
the engine illustrations are separately scaled.

  • The plugin version advances to 0.15.2. The combined Release build passed all
35 selected test suites, including baggage, payload loading, dispatch and
ground-equipment coverage. Live simulator acceptance remains open.

  • Maintenance geometry gains rounded tires, visible hubs and narrower caster
forks. Increased lowering travel and an offset lower-panel hinge are checked
together for removal clearance. The mechanic's eye and eyebrow faces now point
outward for the simulator's single-sided rendering.

  • Two small targets on the exposed engine data plate request engine-section or
whole-pod removal through the existing maintenance interlocks.

  • The combined candidate includes the verified instrument/glass and warning-label
repairs, gear-stow asset, tested autoland tuning, and engine/alarm audio update.
The lower-left ADI amber lamp supports powered self-test; its automatic
    comparator/fault trigger remains unavailable (U).

  • The central engine bank uses heavier printed numerals and matte black digit
backgrounds for readability at smaller viewing sizes. Existing values,
validity, animation and light-level bindings are preserved.

  • Temporary test folders and disposable publication caches are cleaned from the
development workspace. Canonical sources, test evidence and rollback packages
    are retained.

This release carries forward the engine and maintenance repairs from v0.15.1.
Illustration readings are examples, not operating targets. Reload the aircraft
after installation and perform the handbook's visual and maintenance checks.
Existing flight-envelope and automatic-flight limitations remain applicable.

Download Devinci_B2707_300_v0.15.2.zip for a complete installation. The other ZIPs are the 12 updater packages. All 11,421 packaged files and all asset checksums were verified.

@Devinci297 Devinci297 released this 27 Sep 16:27

Boeing 2707-300 v0.15.1 — engine maintenance and combined runtime fixes

27 September 2026. This release corrects the GE4 engine assets and carries the verified combined runtime installed after the engine final pass.

  • Closed engines hide the maintenance stands, platforms, mechanics and internal assemblies. Whole-pod removal hides the corresponding installed intake and nozzle.
  • Corrected normal, metalness and gloss channels remove the black and distorted appearance on metal components, including the removed engine.
  • Mechanics retain the detailed face and hands, brown irises, fitted eyebrows, and skin/lip color. Revised arm posing keeps the elbows and wrists aligned with their separate tool grips.
  • Fastener heads have darker baked color as well as normal-map relief. Exterior and removed-engine livery textures include the change.
  • The oil-service panel cutout follows the closed door perimeter.
  • Removed the eight obsolete intake stencils that floated above the replacement nacelles. The boxed warnings remain attached to their engine parts.
  • Cowl clicks are confined to latch labels. Service labels operate the lower/oil panels; boxed intake warnings open the engine maintenance page. Plain cowling does nothing.
  • Outer-engine carriers approach from the intake/front; inner-engine carriers approach from aft. An inner removal first clears the neighboring outer mechanic platform.
  • Engine-only removal withdraws the exhaust aft on a support trolley before lowering the core, keeping the rear cone clear. Whole-pod removal keeps the assembly together.
  • The lower panel remains hinged to its outboard cowl. Panel click targets follow both hinge motions.
  • The maintenance page reports carrier direction, exhaust movement and sequence holds.
  • Autoland uses runway geometry to improve threshold-height and centerline tracking, with reduced rollout correction to limit weaving. The combined release retains the separately verified autoland source and configuration; live flight acceptance remains open.

The combined plugin also retains the coordinated departure PROFILE arming and equipment-cooling timer fixes, arrival guidance corrections, completed failure-model/UI changes, and the propulsion schematic and engineer nozzle-gauge work delivered by their respective owners. The matching engineer panel OBJ and day/night plates are included. Local stock-sound playback remains dependent on the user's X-Plane installation; no stock sound recordings are redistributed.

Validation includes 2,090 aggregate core cases and 55 final affected targets, plus engine texture, click-contract and sampled clearance checks. These are offline results; live acceptance remains open.

The accepted 45-degree cowl opening and worklight placement are retained. Exported visibility states, texture channels, click rays and sampled worklight sweeps are checked offline. Reload the aircraft to load the new plugin and assets; visual and maintenance-cycle acceptance in X-Plane remains open. The existing flight-envelope and autoland limitations in the handbook still apply.

@Devinci297 Devinci297 released this 27 Sep 07:01

Boeing 2707-300 v0.15.0

Released 27 September 2026 for X-Plane 12, 64-bit Windows.

Features

  • Rebuilt four GE4 pods with modeled internals, baked materials and flat maintenance markings. Ground maintenance includes opening cowls and access doors, engine removal equipment, a mechanic and night worklights. Exterior click targets open the corresponding part or focus its maintenance card.
  • Maintenance prevents starting an engine with open cowls or removed parts. Worklights illuminate the bay below the accepted open-cowl position; the platform, cradle and lowering sequence share the plugin's maintenance state.
  • Revised aircraft audio includes recorded engine layers and an owner-approved recorded flush, with source credits in fmod/CREDITS.md. Engine donor recordings depict a GE F101, not a GE4.
  • Engines: the GE4 model produces all thrust. Modulating reheat is armed per engine, reverse works per engine, and thrust and fuel follow the GE4 deck.
  • PROFILE vertical navigation flies the climb reheat, the transonic and supersonic acceleration, the Mach 2.7 capture and the step climb to 65,000 ft, holding 300 kt below 10,000 ft.
  • CDU: 767-style DEP/ARR pages with SID and STAR transitions, conditional legs, HOLD AT a fix outside the route, FMC alert messages, route discontinuities and 767 constraint formats.
  • Automatic landing: when LAND is inhibited, the autopilot keeps flying the ILS with an amber NO LAND and the reason, and autoland arms once the configuration is complete. LAND selects DUAL. The CDU shows cautions for receiver and course disagreements.
  • Crew: new calls (Mach tenths, descent, speedbrake), a crew-run after-takeoff checklist and arrival STAR and approach selection. The recorded voice bank now holds 9,832 clips.
  • Save and load: a Mach 2.7 mission is saved with the flight and can be resumed.
  • Dispatch: a livery list with thumbnail previews in Settings, and a sidebar grouped into GROUND, FLIGHT, MAINTENANCE and SIMULATOR.
  • Exterior lights sit on new fixtures, with wingtip strobes.
  • A welcome card shows what's new on the first flight of each version. The aircraft checks GitHub for updates and can install them from Dispatch > ABOUT & UPDATES.
  • New Complete Handbook (266 pages) and a flight deck poster in Documents.

Corrections

  • Descent follows the route's altitude floors, flies approach legs on INS and no longer loops in a hold.
  • The F approach setup configures the aircraft while it loads and couples from a freshly loaded aircraft.
  • Autoland retards at 70 ft with a faster flare for the GE4's low idle.
  • The PHNL-RJAA mission starts on runway 08R.
  • Autosaves no longer restart the replay recording.
  • Lower per-frame plugin cost, and about 192 MB less video memory for the base paint.
  • Presets switch directly and say why when one is refused.

Limitations and installation

The integrated Release passed 200 offline checks. The rebuilt engines, full maintenance travel, lamp clearance, night lighting, afterburner alignment and changed engine spacing still require in-simulator acceptance. Offline checks do not qualify those live behaviors. Seat/armrest sound quality and a separate starter recording remain under rework.

The Mach 2.7 descent and TOD are not fully verified, and full-route M27 arrival qualification remains open. The flight envelope is not validated, especially above Mach 1. Autoland has no qualified automatic go-around and does not command reverse. HF, AM, the centre VHF, PA and microphone routing are not implemented. See the handbook's Known limitations chapter for the full list.

Install the complete download into a clean aircraft folder after backing up the previous version, then load the aircraft. Updates from this version onward can be installed from inside the simulator. Consult README.txt and the Complete Handbook for the operating workflow.
