[BUG] Required components of the Windows App Runtime are missing

Describe your issue

Trying to install UniGetUI pops up a window and gives a "Required components of the Windows App Runtime are missing Version 1.7." Asks if you want to install a compatible Windows App Runtime. Clicking yes takes you to:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/apps/windows-app-sdk/downloads

Downloading the appropriate x64 release and installing it doesn't resolve the issue. Every time I open the app I get the same popup.

Same on Windows Server 2019.

Is it only on older versions of Windows, or does it work on the latest versions of Windows 11? I swear it worked on my machine, I'll have to expand testing capabilities with more test VM and Windows versions

I can reproduce the issue inside a Windows Server 2025 VM

I didn't do a full evaluation but it did install and open. I can do more through testing tomorrow if need be.

I installed Windows App SDK 1.8 on my Windows 11 LSTC, and encountered the same problem after launching UniGetUI v2026.1.1. After downloading version 1.7 from the older releases on the download page, it launched normally. Now I have two versions of the Windows App SDK.

Seems to solve the issue. Version 2026.1.2 starts as expected.
