DEG-C-v2: Dheeraj's Entropy Generator (C Version)

🚀 Overview

DEG-C-v2 is a significantly improved, fully offline, terminal-based entropy generator written in C. It combines multiple sources of randomness and advanced mathematical transformations to produce high-entropy outputs.

✨ Features

  • Multi-source entropy mixing: Combines manual temperature input, human-random input, and system randomness.
  • Advanced non-linear transformations: Uses sine, cosine, logarithms, square roots, and bitwise operations for enhanced entropy.
  • Robust input validation: Ensures all user inputs are within valid ranges.
  • Random coordinate generation: Outputs latitude and longitude values based on mixed entropy.
  • 5-digit entropic random number: Final output is a high-entropy number in the range 00000–99999.
  • User-friendly interface: Clear prompts, formatted output, and option to rerun without restarting.
  • Offline and privacy-friendly: No internet required; all randomness is generated locally.

🛠 Usage

  1. Compile the program:

    gcc DEG-C-v2.c -o degc
  2. Run in terminal:

    ./degc
  3. Follow prompts:

    • Enter a temperature value (between -100 and 100).
    • Enter a random number (between 1 and 99).
    • View generated coordinates and entropic number.
    • Optionally, rerun for new results.

📦 Output Example

===== DEG-C v2 - Dheeraj's Entropy Generator (Improved C Version) =====
Enter a temperature value (manual/random, -100 to 100): 25
Enter a random number (1–99): 42

📍 Random Coordinates Generated:
Latitude: 12.345678
Longitude: -98.765432

🔐 Final Entropic Random Number: 12345
=============================================================
Run again? (y/n):

📚 How It Works

  • Entropy Mixing: The program combines user inputs and system randomness, then applies non-linear mathematical functions to maximize unpredictability.
  • Coordinate Generation: Entropy is mapped to latitude and longitude ranges.
  • Final Number: A 5-digit number is derived from the mixed entropy, suitable for use as a random seed, password, or other applications.
