BlinkBreak for Windows 1.0.0
The first Windows release of BlinkBreak — the free, private 20-20-20 eye-break app, now native on Windows.
Install
- Download BlinkBreak-Setup-1.0.0.exe below.
- Double-click it and click through the installer — no admin needed, it installs just for you.
- BlinkBreak opens and lives in your system tray. A short onboarding takes it from there.
Not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may show "Windows protected your PC" on first run — click More info → Run anyway.
What's inside
- The 20-20-20 timer with idle-aware pausing — it pauses automatically when you step away.
- Three break styles — a full-screen rest, a floating countdown card, or a notification.
- Focus / Today / Settings — the timer, daily stats + a break timeline, and full settings.
- System tray with a live countdown, launch-at-login, and light & dark themes.
- Private by design — no account, no personal data.
Requires Windows 10 (1809+) or Windows 11 (x64).
BlinkBreak 2.0.0
First public release of BlinkBreak 2.0 — gentle 20-20-20 eye breaks for your Mac, rebuilt from the ground up as a native Swift/SwiftUI app.
Highlights
- Smart 20-20-20 tracking — counts only active screen time; pauses automatically when you step away and resumes when you're back.
- Three break styles — full-screen dim, floating countdown card, or a simple notification, with skip and +20 s actions.
- Menu bar native — live countdown popover with quick actions (pause, break now, reset). No Dock clutter.
- Today at a glance — breaks taken & skipped, screen time, longest stretch, break timeline, and a daily streak.
- Tunable — reminder interval (5–60 min), break duration (5–60 s), idle timeout, launch at login.
- Dark & light — warm, handcrafted interface that follows your system appearance.
- Private by design — no account, no personal data; the only network traffic is anonymous usage analytics.
