Running a Dummy Mode GDA against Hyperion

You can test that GDA is communicating correctly with Hyperion by running a dummy mode version against it. To do this:

  1. Make sure you have gda.mx.callArtemisInDummyMode=true in your GDA properties
  2. Make sure you have any other Hyperion properties so that it will call the correct code
  3. Start the run_hyperion --skip-startup-connection script
  4. Start a dummy GDA client/server (probably an i03 version)
  5. For testing the Xray centre go to Data Collection then under Auto Centring press Xray
  6. You will know GDA successfully connected to Hyperion as it gives a timeout error looking for hardware
