SimpleLauncher v2 – Safer Windows Access for Kids, Now Easier Than Ever

SimpleLauncher v2 is a lightweight, child-friendly launcher that creates a safe Windows environment by restricting access to only approved applications. It no longer requires registry edits or shell replacement—just run it like a normal app. Perfect for shared or family computers, school setups, or kiosk-like usage.

No registry editing required – runs as a standalone application
Optional startup mode – easily launch SimpleLauncher on login
Continues to support local accounts only (no Microsoft account needed)
Includes parental code protection (default code: 9678)
Fully customizable shortcut layout and background

🧰 How to Use:
Run the launcher manually — no setup required, just open SimpleLauncher.exe.

Optional: Launch at login
Place a shortcut to SimpleLauncher.exe in: C:\Users\<your-username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

⚙️ Adding & Locking Shortcuts:
Customize shortcut.ini to control which applications appear on the launcher. Example:

RequiresCode=false

Set RequiresCode=true to require the parental code (9678) to access the app.

🖼️ Custom Background:
To use your own background, replace the existing image with your own and name it: Background.jpg
Make sure it's in the same folder as SimpleLauncher.exe.
