Highlights

  • Jpegli is now the sole encoder; Guetzli and its resource-heavy native integration were removed.
  • Refined desktop UI with improved responsive layout, controls, shadows, comparison view, and a fixed History/Statistics header while scrolling.
  • Added an explicit, clearly warned option to replace original JPEG files only after successful validation. PNG inputs remain protected.
  • Simplified batch scheduling and updated the native wrapper to ABI v8.
  • Updated English, German, and Russian README documentation.

Compatibility

  • Existing settings that selected Guetzli are migrated automatically to Jpegli.
  • Existing history entries keep their original engine label.
