SFX Catalog for Windows and Linux

One application, Free and Pro modes. Activate a Pro license in the same application; no separate Pro download is needed.

Downloads

  • Windows: download and extract the complete SFXCatalog-Windows-v1.2.0.zip, then run SFXCatalog.exe.
  • Linux (x86-64, glibc 2.28+): download and extract SFXCatalog-Linux-v1.2.0.tar.gz, read README-Linux.txt, then run install.sh. FFmpeg and ffprobe must be installed on the computer and available in PATH.
  • SHA-256 checksum files are attached for verification. Do not use the automatically generated Source code archives as application installers.

Improvements

  • Updated library switching, context-menu behavior and Linux menu/hover stability.
  • Improved descriptive-metadata search, metadata display, multi-selection filters and unavailable-file handling in virtual libraries.
  • Computer and user names help identify licensed devices.
  • The Pro panel now supports DaVinci Resolve Studio on Linux in a separate window: Workspace > Scripts > SFX Catalog. On Windows: Workspace > Workflow Integrations > Sound Effects Catalog.
  • Optional WAV conversion from the panel preserves original files and does not add converted files to the catalog database.

The panel requires DaVinci Resolve Studio, not DaVinci Resolve Free. A macOS package is planned but is not available yet.

Windows packages are not code-signed. Windows security software may block the application or an audio component; check protection history and verify the official source and package checksum. Do not disable antivirus protection.

One application package with Free and licensed Pro modes.

Downloads

  • Windows: extract the ZIP and run SFXCatalog.exe.
  • Linux: extract the archive, run install.sh, then launch SFX Catalog from the application menu. See README-Linux.txt in the archive for requirements.
  • macOS: coming soon.

Changes

  • Added Linux application packaging, desktop integration, and DigDeScript branding.
  • Added Rocky Linux 8 compatible build dependencies.
  • Fixed waveform cache refresh during palette and style changes on all platforms.
  • Includes automatic discovery of an installed DaVinci Resolve Fairlight Sound Library.
