@Shahinyanm Shahinyanm released this 18 Apr 08:14

Three advisor-class wins absorbed from the community usage-limit guide.

Added

  • doctor: Claude Code env knobs tips (TP-c08) — surfaces the four env vars/settings fields that give 60-80% session savings with zero code change (CLAUDE_CODE_SUBAGENT_MODEL=haiku, MAX_THINKING_TOKENS, CLAUDE_AUTOCOMPACT_PCT_OVERRIDE, model=sonnet). Pure advisory.
  • .claudeignore generator + CLAUDE.md hygiene (TP-rtg) — token-pilot init offers to create .claudeignore with sensible defaults (node_modules, dist, lockfiles, source maps…). Non-destructive: carries a magic marker so we refresh our own file but never touch user-owned content. doctor also warns when CLAUDE.md exceeds 60 non-empty lines — that file loads into every Claude Code message.
  • Bash output advisor (TP-jzh) — new PostToolUse:Bash hook. When Bash stdout is large (~8000+ chars), appends a one-line additionalContext tip steering the next turn toward mcp__token-pilot__test_summary and bounded commands. Claude Code's PostToolUse can't truncate in-flight output for non-MCP tools, so the value is behavioural: the agent learns not to repeat the expensive pattern.

Internals

  • .claude-plugin/hooks/hooks.json and the installer now register PostToolUse:Bash alongside Read/Edit/SessionStart; idempotent install, full uninstall.
  • 843 tests green, tsc clean, npm pack --dry-run verified.
