v0.21.2 — Session continuity + observability

@Shahinyanm Shahinyanm released this 18 Apr 08:41

Added

  • Adaptive Read-hook threshold (TP-bbo, v0.21.1) — opt-in piecewise curve tightens denyThreshold as the session sees more hook suppression activity. Defaults to off, zero behaviour change unless enabled. Env overrides: TOKEN_PILOT_ADAPTIVE_THRESHOLD, TOKEN_PILOT_ADAPTIVE_BUDGET.
  • save-doc / list-docs CLI (TP-89n, v0.21.1) — persist WebFetch / research text to .token-pilot/docs/<name>.md so it survives compaction. Re-read later through cheap smart_read / read_range instead of refetching.
  • Auto-snapshot + resume pointer (TP-340) — session_snapshot now writes to .token-pilot/snapshots/<iso>.md + latest.md (opt-out via persist:false). SessionStart hook surfaces a one-line pointer (with goal extract) when the latest snapshot is <2h old. Retention: last 10 archives.
  • session_budget MCP tool (TP-hsz) — reports savedTokens, burn fraction, effective denyThreshold, plus time-to-compact projection (eventCount, avgSavedPerEvent, eventsUntilExhaustion). Payload explicitly documents that burnFraction is Read-hook pressure, not context-window occupancy.
  • Context-mode hint in Bash advisor — when .mcp.json advertises context-mode, large-stdout advisories mention mcp__context-mode__execute as a sandbox alternative.

Changed

  • Snapshot resume window tightened from 24h to 2h; pointer now shows the snapshot's goal so an unrelated next-day session can decide whether to load it.
  • session_budget description + computeEffectiveThreshold docstrings explicitly state the burnFraction is hook-suppression pressure, not window occupancy — cleared before TP-69m builds on the same signal.

Numbers

873 tests green, tsc --noEmit clean.
