Linux x64, any MCP client that starts a local command |
Claude Desktop: open the .mcpb file (or Settings → Extensions → Install extension), then type your API key in the form. The key is free: https://digital3d.com/MyAccount (10 requests per day; leave the field empty to use only the channel and category lists).
Linux (new): tar -xzf xmltv-mcp-1.0.10-linux-x64.tar.gz gives one executable, xmltv-mcp; give its path as the command of your MCP client, with the key in XMLTV_API_KEY. Built for x64 Linux with glibc (not Alpine, not ARM); it needs the libicu and OpenSSL libraries, present on desktop distributions. Claude Desktop has no Linux version, hence no extension file for Linux.
Every file carries a self-contained server: neither .NET nor a terminal is needed for the extensions. The binaries are not signed with a certificate and not notarized (the macOS one is ad hoc signed): your system may ask for a confirmation the first time.
Also in this version: the remote server now tells which applications cannot send the API key (ChatGPT, a connector added by URL) and what to use instead.
Other ways to use the server (Claude Code plugin, remote server, dotnet dnx) are in the README. Contact: https://digital3d.com/contact
XmltvDigital3d.Mcp.1.0.10.nupkg is the package published on nuget.org (dotnet dnx XmltvDigital3d.Mcp --yes): no need to download it.

Linux: Claude Desktop has no Linux version, so there is no extension file for Linux. On Linux, use the Claude Code plugin (two commands, nothing to install), the remote server https://xmltv.digital3d.com/mcp, or dotnet dnx XmltvDigital3d.Mcp --yes with the .NET 10 SDK. A standalone Linux executable (no .NET needed) comes with the next release.
