v0.12.0
Media Chapter Browser 0.12.0 (first public release, beta)
Browse, name and play the chapters of your concert videos and Blu-ray rips.
A concert disc is usually one long video with chapters called "Chapter 1" to
"Chapter 15". This app finds them, gives them real song names, and plays
them back as tracks.
Highlights
- Name chapters by hand, from a MusicBrainz tracklist, from a pasted
setlist, or read from a Blu-ray's own scene-selection menu. - Find chapters in files without them from the gaps in the audio, and
fine-tune them in a built-in editor. - Optional AI help (through Nano-GPT) for discs nothing else can name,
plus Just Figure It Out, which picks the best method for a video. - Identify a whole library in the background, with a cap on AI requests
and one-step undo. - Play chapters as audio or video, in the app or in mpv's own window,
with a queue, playlists and fullscreen. - Several libraries at once, including network shares; per-video or
per-library Locked and Private settings; reset to defaults with undo. - Read-only by design: your media files are never written to, renamed or
moved. Everything the app knows lives in its own data folder.
Before you start
- Beta, no warranty. See the README and LICENSE (GPL-3.0-or-later).
- AI features cost money. They're off until you add an API key, and each
one shows roughly what it costs, but a large library adds up. Use a key
with a daily spending limit. - Needs from your system: ffmpeg, mpv and (for Blu-ray folders) libbluray.
